The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

Hi Mike, yes it is American and I understand 4 were built. Suppose Kevin is just waiting for the small ones........:mix-smi:

There are just too many parasol jobs of this vintage. Would be a stroke of luck if I happened upon it. White flag here!

Me too - funny, the second photo almost looks a different aircraft, much chunkier. Who said the camera never lies ?
I concede too, Walter.

both described as a Moreland M-1. Please see aerofiles.com for further details.

Like to declare Open House, please.

From your side of the pond. This fellow designed about half-a-dozen different models, all having the same strut design. Some sold quite well....

OK, this is the Irwin F-A-1 Meteorplane from sunny California, powered by a 25hp motor !

Open house, fellows, please, I'm off to a birthday lunch in Edinburgh which could get a little moist.:guinness::icon29::guinness:

(It's all right, I'm going by train....)

Sorry, have not had much time for mysteries. Both the kiddoes have been sick with a nasty bug the last couple of days. Lots to do around the house!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

This looks like a Star Cavalier offhand…

Yessir, Star Cavalier E to be precise. (like the 'offhand' :mixedsmi:)

Sorry to hear about the weans (as we call 'em here) - lots of TLC I'm sure will do the trick.

Clean indeed. Looks like the sole Argentinian Fiat G.59-1A ?

All the other Merlin G.55 conversions seemed to be either 2-seaters or had the bubble canopy, but I'm not 100% sure here.....

Right on as usual Mike. :icon29:

The "weans" are feeling better this morning except now the Mrs has a touch of the bug. I fear I'm next!

I take it that this is one of those bugs that requires close proximity to the, er, plumbing ????
Fingers crossed !

Here's a wee twin - I suspect our GA wizard will have no trouble with this one....
