• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

Sorry lefty, I've been a busy bee lately, droning on and on, just buzzing around. It's been a hive of activity here.

I suppose I will have to find something to keep you lot happy for five minutes, bee back in minute or two

:icon29: on the way to Texas for Moses because it is indeed a Shavrov Sh1, fortunately not a 'T' model (think about it).

I'm off now for some much needed:sleep::sleep: The missus wants to go to look at new kitchens in the morning:icon_eek:

I was looking in the early 1920's on that one. Bit surprised to find it was from 1929.

Here is the next one...

I have always been a bit worried about Moses' preoccupation with the darker recesses of Eastern Europe. Notice you never get a close-up of his canines.....

This is another special from what was Yugoslavia - the Zmaj R-1. The Hispano-Suiza 14AB's are unmistakable.:icon_lol:

(Notice the superb quality of his photo - he took this one personally. Time travel is no problem for.......)

And you never even noticed my spelling gloop -'unmistakable' - aaaaargh !

Anyway, thanks - it was in fact the engines that got me going. I trust the DH number didn't give you too much trouble (!)

Shall we have a real one ?? (and saying it's a re-engined you-know-what ain't good enough)

Since Lefty is probably already in bed, and I ought to be to, I'll post a new one. Don't expect any posts from me the next nine hours or so, so if you know you are right, please move on. :)

Don't know a lot about these things, but a wee bit of digging found the Flarecraft L-325 - a copy of a Lippisch design.

As Ferry suggested, we'll move on

Methinks you might be right, Moses. I got fixated thinking it was Soviet, too late started looking German and found out its identity.
