• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

Hi Kevin :salute:

:applause: says it all
What put you in this track, do you have another pic or maybe details?

I checked the date on the photo and had saved it back in 2009. It was unique enough that I just happened to remember it. No additional information.

Here is a nice twin...

Early 1930's effort from the West Coast. One built for a long range flight that never came to be.

Yes, BG, I can see it now, and recognise her as one who has been here before, methinks. But haven't a clue as to the i/d !

Am I the only one who had a problem with BG's first post ????? Maybe a Firefox thing - Mozilla seem to be having issues just now.

I'm on IE 8. No issues here.

BG's light twin has indeed been here before. It hails from a sizeable island nation...

It was also built for the 1934 MacRobertson race but was woefully underpowered and not really suited for a long range journey.

Ha! Disabled the Banner blocker in Kaspersky - BG's original post now visible. Why on earth would his pic have been construed as a banner ??......(anyway I still don't know what it is !)

Thanks BG. This one should not be too much trouble. I took one from Wout's book and kept the designers secret. :icon_lol:
