The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

Thanks Kevin, big relief. Gives me courage to continue this ridiculous hobby for at least another 25 years :jump:

I think the CV110 was the only CV with those big air inlets under the radials. Convair was located in San Diego and I presumed that the CV110 only operated from her home base, since its only briefly tested.

For the next challenge, the name is sufficient.

Sorry the hints by dan_pub did not help.
This aircraft is usually known as the Progress Aero Discovery, although later efforts were made by FreeBird Aviation to market it as the Xtreme.
AFAIK 2 examples were built by Progress (N81D the prototype and N360F of the photo).

I suggest that dan_pub continues. He clearly identified the girl :applause:

Forgot to mention that (again) later marketing was done by Aero Concepts, LLC and the company showed an example (the third?) at Sun-n-Fun 2005.

Argh. I knew you would say that...

In my files I have it as the Progress Aero Discovery 360 of 1991

Anyway. Me and my big mouth. Lessee if I can get something worthy:

To me this one begs the question: are you so afraid that the windscreen will quit on the wings?

Hi Dan :salute:
Good challenge, had correspondence with the designer/builder, so will let our friends have a go first.

My hints: From a country not really known for homebuilts. AND this aircraft was used by the designer as Study for a more advanced Study II. AND his first design was never completed AND he completed a third aircraft since.

My tattered copy of "10,000 Light and Homebuilt planes of Eastern Europe Since 1980" is missing a few pages...;)

Dan, I think it is time to reveal and post another. Other than wout, I don't think anyone has a clue!

Homebuilts are a tough lot as there is no "central" database to work from. At least to me anyways.

Here is a not so old turboprop...
