The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

A somewhat grainy airliner...

Grainy indeed - and looks a tad underpowered to me.....

Although it looks very Bernard/Fokker/Focke-Wulf, I have a sneaking suspicion it ain't European at all ????

Good on the reclusive Villiers 31 Mike. :icon29:

The only photo I have of the 310 shows a cowled version.

Slyvanriv - We appreciate your interest but you have to guess one before you can post a new photo. It is now Lefty's turn having identified the Villiers airliner. Thanks!

Thanks, Moses (Sylvanriv - your mystery is I think the Martin XB-51 -I remember it turning up in an old William Holden movie !)

Here is something from a much earlier time.... by a famous designer...

This is a very good pic of the beautiful Rohrbach Ro-IX of 1926 planned in Germany but built in Danemark on account of the Versailles Treaty (only two built).
Cheers

Hey all, I'm sorry, I definitely should have read the instructions more closely. Anyway, yup, that was an XB-51. That's not some sort of Whittaker ultralight, is it?

Hy Silvanriv welcome to the forum!
Sorry it isn't a Whittaker or anything from any English speaking country (the lorry at the back might be a clue)
Cheers
BG

Since there is no reaction to my last proposal I reveal the name of the homebuilt which is:
"Xausa X.001 (I-LEDI)" built about 30 years ago (in Italy) and fitted with a Limbach SL1700E (68HP) engine.
I have to run now but later today I will post a website with all necessary details concerning the above.
Therefore open house and
Cheers!
