What is this grainy beast?

Difficult to pin down those exact models of the very many floaters made over in sushi-land......

Here's something that isn't -

Think I'm going to have to reveal the Arado AR69b and Ar69a, D-2827 and D-2821 respectively.

Can't find out much about the unusual tail -anyone ?

Here's a floater which shouldn't give you too much trouble -

That Arado really threw me. Interesting tail on that one for sure. Nothing in my stacks on it.

Your floater is bothering me as well. Looked like easy pickings at first glance. I need a flogging!

Well actually it is the F-270 (F-AMAO) but there doesn't seem to be a huge visual difference and I can't actually find a photo of the 271 for comparison !

Over to Texas - :very_drunk:

I never did find any verbiage about the 270 being on floats so I assumed it was the 271.

Let's go another round on the floaters...

Here's it's land lock version.

When looking for floaters, never forget a country where they made lots of 'em. The Nakajima Navy Type 90-2-1 in civil guise ??

Confusing that one but found it eventually following Mikes lead - seems it was on of the two the prototype E4N1, converted for civil use as a search & rescue vehicle & registered J-BERG. One lives & learns sometimes! There seems to be a strong resemblance though to the Bulldog, which the Japanese Navy used.
Keith

Keith, it does have a Bristol-ish look to it. I have it as one of the two Nakajima Giyu 11 cabin transports converted from the 90-2-1 series.

For Mike. :very_drunk:
