The Republic XP47H, Xp47J, and XP72 Releases

View attachment 10067View attachment 10068View attachment 10069I downloaded Milton and company's XP-47 a few weeks back and apart from flying the beast, got my hands on Nigels' great paint kit and have been playing around with it a bit. My first 'repaint' was just a rework of the olive drab over grey USAAF bird, then a Bare metal USAAF paint, and then I dove into the paint kit. So, Here is a screenshot of my 'what-if' RCAF 416 "Lynx" Squadron P-47J---or Q--- or whatever variant would have had the XP-47's airframe with hardpoints for bomb carriage. There will be three versions of the paint, one with full D-Day stripes, one with just the underside striping, and one without any. Just cleaning up a few little bits, and then will put together a .zip, and figure out how to upload a file here! :)

Thanks Milton and Nigel for this great airplane and superb paint kit!
Cheers
Dave

Great paints, Dave!
Welcome to SOH.

I've been lucky enough to have an in-sim preview of these beauties - really great texturing all round.

Hope to see them uploaded as a package.

Maybe you'll upload that pretty Avia 57 you've been working on too.:jump:

Well, i finally had some time of my own, so i tried it and its magnificent, outside, inside, how it flies, or how it sounds, just pure pleasure!
Now demands, lol. Could some talented person do what if repaint for "Flying Tigers 2", like in this story:
http://www.air-america.org/index.php/en/15-about-air-america/articles/148-the-secret-war-in-laos

I also would love to see what if Frech, or Irish paints....

Indeed, a great suggestion for some interesting repaints, Kikas.

Nice to hear you're getting into the Republic xp's.

Okay, I've just (hopefully) uploaded the 416 Sqn XP-47. :) Let's see if I have the process figured out! LOL Milton, Nigel, and SOH's own Paul have tested the actual download, so hopefully no one has any issues.

As for my Pacific Equatorial Airways, and it's sister "British South American Airlines" Avia 57 floatplanes, probably soon!:encouragement:
Cheers
David

Okay... I tried to show a couple of pics of the Avia 57 Nigel was talking about, and ended up with the BIG pic at the dock being uploaded too!! :banghead: Sorry guys..... didn't mean to get off topic, this IS the XP-47 thread!

It is unclear for me why you quote glh, but according to my knowledge there is no way you can remove the pilot after the aircraft is parked.

Cheers,
Huub

Do you know how to remove the pilot after parked? thanks

The FS9 and the FSX version of the Avia 57 hides the pilot once the Battery switch is in the OFF position.

See the Electrical Panel Icon.

The XP47J, XP47H, and XP72 FS9 versions do not have this feature.
