After several years of working on this project off and on, and after fixing a number of issues today that were found in testing I have finally come to the conclusion that it is done. Check Safeway Ad and Save a Lot Ad. The upload is awaiting final approval which hopefully will occur tonight. A finished paint kit will be worked on this week and should be up by the weekend.

Thanks for all of the support during the build. :salute:

I hope you are proud of what you've created Robert. . .we certainly will be proud to fly her. Thanks for staying the course.:salute:

Thanks so much for the Thorp, Robert. It's been great watching the progress as you have developed it. I can't imagine how many hours you have put into this project, but your efforts will certainly be appreciated by all of us.

cheers,
steve :wavey:

BRAVO Robert! Couldn't resist taking her up just once before leaving the apartment. Flew from Bremerton over to Bear Gulch. Outstanding!!!!

I'm glad you guys like it!

On a frustrating note on the original upload the fuselage texture had a color layer turned off when I saved it to the upload folder.

I sent in a corrected file, hopefully the package will be updated soon.

boy do i hope so too Rob.... already set my weekend aside JUST to paint this little beastie..... i'll be flying it too much before then! :icon_lol:

To compliment Roberts efforts in his, and his fathers labor of love, my first repaint is getting uploaded as I speak.

Word of warning for lesser machines, as it's all 32bit. Hopefully there are no issues for anyone.

As stated above, pictures don't show the details in the Thorp T-18 model, or the repaint.

Cool paint! There are loads of them to be done for this plane. Hopefully I'll get in the painting mood and do a couple myself. :jump:

OleBoy, I can't get your livery to show in the sim. It shows correct if I load it into FSRepaint, but in the aircraft selection menu I just get the original livery if I select yours and in-sim it's the same way. I made a duplicate of the original texture folder, moved your files into it and overwrote when asked and then renamed to the correct texture name, but I don't see your livery.

I did it this way and it worked o.k.

1. Copy texture folder from original Thorp aircraft folder to My Docouments.

2. Copy the files from the texture.N9675Z folder in the Tiger repaint to the
above texture folder, when asked to overwrite click yes.

3. Now rename the texture folder in my Documents to texture.N9675Z
and then copy it to the aircraft folder in FSX/Simobjects/ airplanes/ Thorp T18.

4 Copy and paste the section in read me to aircraft.cfg and save.

I am sure that's what oleboy said we had to do, and it works just fine on mine.
