I've been mucking about trying to learn a couple of jetliners lately. The main one is the Historic Jetliner Group's Boeing 727-100. I tend to like older aircraft and the 727 dates from the early 60s. Up front this one has two deficencies that almost made me pass it by. No VC and no GPS. But I'm glad I overlooked those. There as so many other features in it that I'm not missing the VC that much and I believe I can fix the no GPS problem.
Reading the manual almost got me into trouble with it. (a friend that has it suggested flying it by the numbers). After several by the book attempts that didn't end well, I just for the heck of it started the engines and just flew the "little" Boeing. And it flies very nicely in this manner. I'm still sorting out some features on it like the landing view for the panel, and others surprised me (a rough landing will get you a cabin full of screaming passengers).
Overall, I'm enjoying this one immensely.
A few paints for it that I like...
