Tornado: DSB vs IRIS

OBIO

Retired SOH Admin
DSB became IRIS. IRIS updated the DSB Tornados, giving them VCs...yea IRIS...

Did IRIS change the texturing on the rest of the aircraft?

There are a ton of repaints for the DSB Tornados over on SimV, and before I grow old downloading them at 30Kps, I wondered if anyone had tried the DSB Tornado repaints on the IRIS Tornados.

They work.....just have to copy the new files into the DSB skin folders. There may need to be some work done on the weapons to get them to match the DSB skin schemes, but for the most part....I will now be able to replace a lot of the same old same old gray skins for skins with camo or more colorful paint jobs.

Of course they work nearly perfect ;-) a little problem is the tankprobe. Sometime it appears in grey. But it should no problem to find the bmp. I have changed a lot of german Tornados a long time ago. :kilroy:

Of the ones I have tried thus far, my fave is the one that makes the Tornado look like an eagle....as in the bird. The entire plane is masterfully painted with feathers, and the nose of the plane is done up to look like an eagle's head. Stunning! I could not sit still long enough to do that paint job...must have taken days, maybe even weeks, to get it done.
