Uh Oh! I'm at it again....

My very first flight sim for the PC was "Janes F-15". In the sim, you went through an extensive training program until you became familiar with all the controls on the panel, as well as some flight time in the F-15E before going on to flying combat sortees. One of the F-15E aircraft represented in that sim was from the 366th 'Bold Tigers' from Mountain Home, Idaho. That's the one I chose to fly, and prompted me to aquire the 1/32 scale die cast model of nearly the identical plane, sitting atop my desk in my "office" at home. After all these years, to see the IRIS F-15E get the Tiger Meet version brings back memories of those 'Janes' Flight Sims. I still have them all: F-15, F-18, Janes USAF, and World War II Fighters.

Good stuff back in those days....:medals:

Lovely paint, Matt.

Too right...
I never flew the Tigermeet F-15, was too busy ducking vicious SA13 spikes in Iraq.
Janes F-15 surely was the most complete simulator, the graphics wouldn't cut it nowadays, but what immersion!
I remember going right through the night, flying nap of the earth with the radar altimeter set at a ghostly green 50 ft.
At the last moment popping up, painting the target, bringing the wingmen in from another angle, and dealing death and destruction to those WMD installations.
I lost weight, I think, and became a devotee of the Mudhen.

yup it's the first F-15E i have converted to run on Ouzo... what you don't use you can always drink... and share with groundcrew (if you like your groundcrew).... :icon_lol:

Naah!

Nothing like my groundcrew - they're all normal, logical, dedicated tea-totallers.

If you ever come accross groundcrew who enjoy a tipple - run (or fly!) for yer life!!!:icon_lol:

next paint will take a bit longer as i'll be re-labelling the VC to convert it to the proposed F-15H (H for Hellenic), the Strike Eagle was offered to Greece but was never followed up, Greece instead opting to upgrade their current fleet and get a few more Vipers..... :icon_lol:

my Groundcrew are a motley bunch... they enjoy the Beach, beer, and various other things.... so the Ouzo is safe, the Beer on the other hand..... :icon_lol:

Hmmmm, Nigel. Seems Matt is unaware of "Ozzies" in Russian Cargo Planes, bearing gifts... lol!:guinness: This lot ought to last you a good long while.

Cheers Matt!!

Thank You Matt for this beautiful repaint!

The only minor issue I had was your included readme.txt.
The texture line in the cfg should read 'texture=366FW' (not 391FS).

Beers on me!

Cheers, Stuart
