Uh Oh! I'm at it again....

yeah the Harrier really was a glove made to fit for dispersed tactical operation, heck you could back it in amongst the olive groves and pines, then when needed launch off roads, or VTOL it out of any open areas, not to mention land it on the back of Hellenic Navy Ships if needed.....

... still, she's just about to go taste some Greek valleys!... test time! better put on the International Orange flight suit.....

Seems like the only folk with any sense about these things are the U.S. Marines - anyone trying to take their harriers would surely be in for more than a butt-kick!

Matt, fantastic work on this and agree about the Hellenic camo. Waited ages to get the model in FS9, thanks to this thread I had to go and find a FSX port over. It's flyable but needs a few tweaks.

Plans for new USMC "inverse" paints?

quite possibly.....

currently working on my very favourite Harrier... ZD404 'Lucy', she served with HAR DET in Kandahar in 07/08, named after glamour/topless model Lucy Pinder (Who i was fortunate to meet when she and another model visited the Troops) here's a Sneak Peek of the start of the Nose-Art:

When you said that, i bookmarked the thread and waited for you to switch on the lights... is there a PG version, then?

it always was the silhouette on the HAR, and even then on returning to the UK they were told to get rid of it... but for a bit of eye candy... here's the 2 Girls the harriers were named after.... Lucy on the left (all natural erm.... Assets), Michelle on the right and to make it better and more appealing to me there's a Harrier in the backdrop and they have 'dezzies' (Desert Boots) on! *having a relapse, mopping up drool and browsing for a new keyboard*

Great paint-scheme buddy, but you've got the 'Lucy' bit muddled up.

According to Professor Donald Johanson and his student Tom Gray, 'Lucy' was nothing at all like that.
Here ya go, just a little reference HU:

Matt....why did you want 'Lucy' on your Harrier ol' buddy?

that noseart reminds me... i'd better have a shave pretty soonish... i'm resembling a sodding chimp :icon_lol:

right time to do Michelle.... oo er Matron!/Hello Vicar! :icon_lol:

Yeah...yesterday he 'did' Lucy, now today he'll 'do' Michelle...
tomorrow...NO fear!

Gentlemen, lock-up yee daughters - 'Smoothie's' on the rampage!

the (What i called) busty beauties of Kandahar are done, HAR DET 2007/2008, ZD437 'Michelle' and ZD404 'Lucy' (The latter being my favourite)... so without further ado here you go... a render of the pair of them... unseen in this shot but both pilots have desert coloured flight suits on (Will be creating an extra folder for release called Suit Colours, so you can swap and change)

Matt,

absolutely excellent stuff, esp. love the Greek colours, very fetching. Waiting patiently to see what else your imagination comes out with.

Will you be uploading the paint kit. Quite fancy some 'what-if' commemorative FSR.1/2 and GR.1/3 schemes, maybe even a Kestrel/matador/AV8A/etc. Limitless possibilities. Even WWII bomber command night scheme or Coastal command late war. Or even...., lol.

Great work dude,
Jamie

current WhIFs stand at: Dutch Navy, German Marine, RAAF, a Civvy owned version or two, Saudi, Canadian and possibly an Italian GR.7.... as for RAF i plan to redo a few of the demo birds.

but yeah once done they'll be onto my website, along with paintkit, remember to get Rob Barendregts VTOL Gauges for the Harrier, keep annoying a friend at the moment when flying with him, he's an ex KLU Viper Pilot so knows how to fly, if i even suspect him sneaking in to get on my 6 he gets the good old hover-stop (Kinda like standing on your cars brakes and pulling the handbrake at the same time), he goes scooting past and always for a laugh i'm there "Fox 1, Splash 1" :icon_lol:

I'm loving them Matt, especially the two 'busty' ones!
Oh yes,- you're Harrier repaints are not bad either! :jump:
The Dutch variant is looking great.
Outstanding work once again!
Looking forward to the downloads.

Cheers, Stuart
