On the site it says "2020", so only for MSFS2020.

Haven't had the chance to test it in the new one.

This mod is for the P-51A, the previous one is for the P-51D.

Nope I've tried it now and it doesn't seem to work. There are no specific install instructions - I just plonked it in my aircraft MoDs file in linker

He's trying really hard to get it to work (has a discord page), having issues with Asobo filing roadblocks & lockouts it seems but they are on the case! Really loving his work, the P-51D is awesome now & will only get better, I removed AH Mustang the other night as after their last update it has become a train wreck. There's also a mod for the T-6 being worked on with opening cockpits, a spinner etc.

I removed AH Mustang the other night as after their last update it has become a train wreck.

Can't recall what it was like previously, but I also allowed the "Update" yesterday and your description is apt.

Bit late to party on this one...

I never got notification of the tag, either!

Just yesterday, while conversing with a Discord member, it occurred to me to experiment with something and the results are quite nice. We've come up with a way to work around MS/Asobo encryption of the 3D model and xml behaviors. A future update to this mod will make it a standalone aircraft that only requires the user to already own the P-51A. This means we can write a new flight model, engine, systems, etc, all while remaining compatible with existing liveries (small change needed to livery aircraft.cfg since the SimObject will be uniquely named).

I've already started writing a new FM, and it's quite a lively airplane despite some of the model shortcomings. This lays the groundwork for some really fun stuff.

Can I get the birdcage to open? I guess we'll find out eventually.
