Upgrade and Move News and Issues

I got caught by the dot com to dot org switch as the old link was in my bookmarks and was wondering why I could not connect.

But it makes me ask, why would they do such a thing. Most websites want the dot com and only use dot org when there is no other alternative. I have a website where I use dot net and would love to get dot com but someone is sitting on the dot com name and won't give it up without a five figure payment. So what ever you do, do not give up the dot com domain name under any circumstances, if you let it go you will never get it back.

Because, when moving the contents of the file library, both sites needed to be up and running. Moving those files was a manual operation. I.e. one by one.

Fear not we will get the .com name reinstalled but somethings are never as easy as we like them to be. I will detail the steps for the move when the details become more clear to me.

The new home page is under construction. This page will be generated by the forum software much like the old vBulletin site.

The quick and dirty home page I did when the move started has been replaced. The new one could use a little tweaking but should work better for now.
