Hey guys,

Feeling a little better today. Less sore, but feverish and my eye doesn't show much improvement, although it is open a bit more. I've been sleeping a lot, understandably. The next step is to eat something; I have not eaten anything in 48 hours. Haven't had much of an appetite.

Rest well my friend and heal up quickly. We are all keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. Come on down here and I'll cook for ya. :)

Wishing you speedy recovery Rami. Growing up in townhouse apartments, the number one rule among us kids was never take on the stairs, they always win. During those years a couple of my younger brothers tested that rule and learned that truth the hard way, nothing serious thank God.

Good evening,

We're getting there, it turns out my optician friend was able to fix my glasses.

RAMI
It was a luck in the unluck,I will tell you about the danish healthsystem.
If you break a leg (even longitudial) or you need a yearlong treatment for i.e. cancer- it will be free of charge.
If you need glasses you pay every penny yourself
If you neeed hearing aid equipment ,it is free of charge, incl.lifelong suppy of spares and service
If you go to the dentist you pay by yourself exept a very little support from the public healthsystem.
In my eyes it is completely crazy, why are your eyes and thets less nessesary than the rest of your body? After all we have the highest taxrate in the world(together with Sweden)
I wish you soonest complete recover.I feel with you:wavey:

Hi Rami

been a bit slow catching this thread - really sorry to hear/see about your catastrophe - I did something similar last year - the cry in our house was 'drunk again !' and I've got a handrail on both sides of the stairs - I make sure I hang on to both of them now.

anyway, sure hope you are fully recovered now

best wishes

Baldy,

I'm getting there; I hope to get the stitches out today when I see my doc.

Hi Andrew,

Sorry to hear this - it seems to be going around. I did the same thing a month ago walking down stairs on the way home from the pub late at night (nothing to do with alcohol of course). I hit the asphalt face first. I was a bloody mess with skin off my nose, forehead and a black eye. Fortunately no broken teeth or stitches required. The fall appears to have rectified an old childhood injury - my nose now appears straighter.

Glad you're recovering quickly.

Kevin

Hey guys,

I basically recovered from the fall at this point and the stitches were removed, but a CT scan I had as a result of the fall down the stairs showed that I have a abnormal growth on my thyroid, which was confirmed by tests I had last week at the hospital. I've found out in the last couple of days that I'll need a thyroid biopsy.

We're looking at the end of the month for this, and I'll need to come off my blood thinners and take lovenox shots in the stomach every twelve hours while I'm off my blood thinners.

Not exactly looking forward to this, and trying not to let my mind run wild...

Damn Dude,

What can anyone say....Go out and by a lottery ticket, You must have used up all of your bad luck by now.

No Dice,

The really ironic thing about this is that I likely would not have known about this for a significant period of time had I not taken a header and had the CT scan at the hospital. :dizzy:

Well then...I will take that as a sign of Good Luck in a way....finding it now rather than at the last minute....
so buy two lottery tickets and a bottle of Jack Daniels...on ice no coke.

No Dice,

Being on blood thinners, it turns you into a real cheap date. Two beers or a couple of shots of Ny-Quil gives me a good buzz. I gave up hard liquor a long time ago. I did win $7 on two $1 scratch tickets last week, so does that count?

Update: I guess never say never...

Gosh Rami,
2 beers is hardly enough to finish breakfast. I will drink the beers for you and email you your virtual buzz,
You stick with the lottery and email me my virtual cut of the winnings. Who knows ...with your change of
luck we may become the worlds drunkest virtual millionaires on the planet.
