USS Nimitz released

One thing, I think it may be sailing a little too fast. But I don't mind since it makes landing much easier. When I put about 24 knots of wind over the bow it's almost like when I spent some time on the old USS Saratoga.

Yes, as you can see from the conversation with Deke, I'm not sure what to do about the boat speed. Am very open to suggestions!

I make my Google earth tracks and save them as .kml files. I read somewhere that kml was more stable than kmz format. Perhaps it was in the compiler documentation. I have found that more points in a track will slow the vessel. I think those are looked at as way points. Give it a try and see if that helps.

1. For compiling AI traffic, I do use .kml files, but since Sim-Outhouse won't take them, I uploaded the first path as .kmz.

2. You can set the speed of a boat (approximately) in the Boats.txt file used by the boat compiler. It will use that speed to calculate the end of your route.

You may have noticed that in the AI Boats program, there is a sample file of a carrier group that leaves Norfolk at various times of the year and travels to Naples, Italy. The speed on that isn't too bad.

Fooling around with my AICarrier config.:wiggle:

Navy Chief8 - Can you provide the details or a link to where you found the AO or AOE in your screenshot above? Awesome.
Thanks.

USS Mispillion AO-105

Navy81

You can find this ship at fs-shipyards.org. Go to downloads and select naval ships and its under the Auxiliaries. You will want to download the (pilotable) version. Strip out the files you don't need and I used a config from another AI ship.

I see that Hulu has the "Carrier" season too. (Hulu = free video streaming). I'm watching episode 7 now: http://www.hulu.com/watch/33470. The second half (from about 30 minutes on) is about landing Hornets at night on a pitching deck. Lots of bolters...

Hi Everyone,

Is there any way to make this superb Nimitz addon work (with all features) in multiplayer flight?
If so, that would be great...

Regards

Anneke thanks for the link, but I think I was misunderstood.
I would like to have it somewhere on sea (not control it, just like it's part of scenery, or something) and land on it with my friends.

The file you provided is a pilotable carrier, but I don't want to pilot it :)
Just want to land on it in multiplayer.

Thanks!

Hi. I'd like that too. Isn't there a way to make it into a bgl and make an AFCAD for it so we could land and takeoff from it from the Airport Select window in FSX? Some expert surely must be able to do that for us all. Regards, Bob.

hi guys i have download the f14 tomcat and the launch bar does not works can anyone help me please?

CVN 70 is back

The Carl Vinson returned to the Fleet today after a 3yr mod. Notice the new aft radar mast is different from the Nimitz and Ike when they came out of overhaul. She looks brand new!
