• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

I was noodling around with Flight Deck 4's S-3B Viking and found that the VC comes up at 0.33 zoom every time. Looks very Alfred Hitchcockian. It's tedious to tap up to 1.00 every time so is there a way to adjust this to 1.00 or whatever I want?

Yes, in the panel.cfg. look for these statements:

[VIEWS]
VIEW_FORWARD_WINDOWS=0,RADIO_STACK_PANEL,GPS_PANEL,120,240

VIEW_FORWARD_ZOOM=0.800 // change to 1.0
VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=2.500, 0.000, 0.000

If you do not have them, they can be added but are specific to your panel.
 
Thanks Milton. I thought those lines only affected the 2d panel. I'll give it a try.

This is what there is now

[VIEWS]
VIEW_FORWARD_WINDOWS=MAIN_PANEL,50,GPS_PANEL,THROTTLE_PANEL,60,150
VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=5.500, 0.000, 0.000

so I guess if I add the zoom line it otta work.
 
If you use the same default flight each time, reset the zoom and save a new one.
