Let me know when and were. A beautiful paint :salute:

I tweaked the Brazilian a bit more, and started on a new british version, but those distortions around the hatch drive me nuts...

I think I have the roundel sorted, and a lot of other little details..

"Semper Pugnans" (always fighting) is the motto of No.3 squadron of the South African Air Force.
#2537 saw action with No.3 squadron, fighting the Italians in Ethiopia in 1941.

Very nice again Jan Kees, but I currently have already more repaints for this aaircraft than I ever can fly!

My problem is; when you keep making them, I just have to download them ;)!

Cheers,
Huub

Huub, that is like saying "I'm having enough Rembrandt-paintings hanging on my wall":icon_lol:. Maybe I can persuade Jan Kees to do this Portuguese one (if he hasn't tired yet of painting the Hawk):engel016:. It's an ex-RAF Mohawk IV.

..and I am stupid enough to try it too...
This side looks OK, but the other side is a nightmare (why did we need that stupid distorted hatch there in the first place?)
...so a bit more patience please...

this will be the last one, I hope...

Jan Kees, I really appreciate that you're willing to do the repaint:icon29: (and it's looking great so far). But if the texture mapping is driving you nuts, then just let it go:wavey:.

well, it took me a while, but here's my shot at the other side:

this is about as far as I want to take it, it's driving me nuts...

JanKees, I have not searches for real pictures from the Portuguese P-36, but the flag on the rudder differs from the flag shown in the profile.

But as Lawman already said; "It's looking fantastic to me"

Cheers,
Huub

you mean the heraldic sign? This is the official portugese flag as used on portugese aircraft.
I don't know where the profile artist got his inspiration, but I'm assuming he had a vague photograph (I couldn't find anything) and drew what he felt was right.
I've tried to find the magazine it came from, but no succes...
