Video Card Drivers

Being nowhere's close to being a wirehead I have a question about video card drivers. I have an AMD Radeon 5450 1 Gig video card in my year-old Dell Studio XPS 9000 I'm wondering if anyone here can tell me how updating the drivers for it will enhance my FS experience and if there are any problems, advice, or cautions in doing so? I've never updated drivers on a PC before so this is new ground to me.

Thanks in advance,

N.

PS. I've also just purchased a copy of IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946 and had updating my drivers in mind for that as well as IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover that I'll prolly be adding soon

Yeah, that seems to be the general consensus in most driver threads I've read so far and with my kinda luck if I started tinkering it'd likely get broke :D

If you had an install disk with that, I would tend to stay with those. I tried twice at different times to update my video drivers and both times noticed slightly worse performance. You can always pop the disk in and re-install them if you think they got mucked up. For the most part, yep, if it aint broke...
