Vietnam for CFS2 Beta Release

Thats fine. Do what need to be done first. I was just wondering of any one else had take some time to mess with it.

Everything seemed to have gone fine. All Dice is actually up and walking and sends her Thank You to all.

That's good to hear No Dice. :joyous:
Got to have someone on their toes to keep us neanderthals in line.

@ Allen,

I've been flying your AC-47 and all seems fine. Except for my aim. I've never sighted a ground target from the side window before. :indecisiveness:
But that's just me. It is a bit disorientating. Just need some practice.

I concur with DV, great job.....I really like the effort you put into the side view screen...very nice touch. I hope to get some more flying time with it this evening.

I give it both thumbs up,

Dave

Wb mki...

Here is a small herb.

There are no LODs I'm afraid. I may add them later.

Yes you can shoot them. Just so you know, there will be no body. I did this for two reasons.
One: to save on the frame rate.
Two: so I don't get any angry emails.

The MKII will have a wagon. MKIII will have a plow. I might do a MKIV with a different wagon. Maybe have it filled. I'm not sure yet.

Damn Dude, I asked for what I thought was an easy project for you and you turned around and
created a Master Piece..............You are the best ........Wow Wow Wow

We really had no animals at all for the Viet scenery, this will be so COOL.

Thank You John,

Merry Xmas to me

Dave

Yea... I have been having a hard time doing "Simple", lately.

Sadly, you have given me three other projects from this one. I'm thinking of doing Horses in the near future. Mostly for my WWI project. I may do a pack mule. I don't know. We have very few, if any, animals in CFS2. They were a big part of warfare and deserve a showing, I think.

I'm going to wrap up the WBuf1. You can play with that until I finish the cart and plow.

So the AC-47 looks good. I'll work on getting the rest of the small things done.

Allen,
All looks great to me...........
If anything , I will rework the textures on the 2D panel to match your VC panel.
I will work on that after " All Dice " is back up and running on her own.

Fix your finals and I will be more than happy to upload her to the project.

Great job Sir,

Dave

Merry Christmas

Here is a little gift for you all.

Water Buffalo with Plow.

Finally the Old Cart.

They are all damagable. Though the damage model is empty for all of them. I had to guess at the plow. Its suppose to look like one used in the rice paddies. At least it looks like a plow of some sort.

Merry Christmas everyone. :santahat:

'til Later,
John

Next on my list...

Your welcome.

For the new year, I'm looking into the Horses and the Pigs you sent me.

I'm thinking of some WWI and WWII Mounted Cav for the horses. As well as some pulling wagons and carring packs. Might try to turn a horse into a mule. We'll see how far I get.

For now I'll work on a strait up conversion of the APIs. If I don't have to redo the models it should go fast.

I'll make Euro/American and Asian versions of the Pigs. They will work well for some Helo missions.

The Deer is Kool but might not work for any war missions. It might work for other things. I'll do a strait conversion of those. Same with the Cow.

So thats the Plan. I hope everyone stays safe over the Holidays.

'til Later,
John

Question about library conversion

Sometimes it is quicker to ask rather than ruin a day

Lets say I want to use Xavier's Jap soldiers as Viet soldiers , other than repaint ect.

I know to change the allegiance but is there something I need to change in the bgl
to have them show as viet rather than Jap ??

The allegiance is in the dp file. Whatever number you use in the country config for Vietnamese should be the number you put in the figure's dp description section.

John,

if you are considering horse drawn vehicles, would you maybe look at doing some of the horse drawn wagons the Wehrmacht used? Propaganda had it that they were heavily mechanized but in fact used a lot of real horse power in Europe as well.

Already thinking about it. Get me some pics and I'll work on those while I figure out the riders.
