Vietnam for CFS2 Beta Release

Dave,
No sweat. I'll have something for you in a few days. I found this picture. Do you want markings or leave it plain?

Well Sir,

You will notice on the history I found on Lima 85, they were just painted green.
But on the Torpedo version, they had no mention of color. I leave that to you sir.

Dave,
Good enough. On your picture it shows tail numbers. I'll do that and call it a day. If something else comes up, putting markings on will be no problem. Give me a few days and you'll have the textures. Glad to help out in any way I can. I may have another Bird Dog texture you can also use. Just have to find it.
Bob

Dave,
Found some time today and finished these up. I highlighted some things so it doesn't look so monochrome. Hopefully, I'll get it zipped up and emailed to you tomorrow. Still haven't found the Bird Dog. Thanks for letting me contribute to this project in my small way. If I can help, in any way going forward, don't hesitate to ask.
Cheers,
Bob

Pee..ing in my pants, those are great. I see New Jersey, I Lived in Toms River and my Company was in Spring Lake Heights for 8 years,
My dad got ill in '95 so I moved it all back home to Biloxi to care for my mother, who till this day still mows her own yard.
I would have her replace my yard man but then , I could not ever live down the neighbors saying " Look, Dave's mom is mowing his yard"
I say " I was lucky and was able to purchase a home only three houses down from hers."
But all in fun, I sometimes wish it was a bit farther than she can walk, gotta luv her though.

Thanks again,
Dave

Work on the S-2/C-1 is going slower than a snail in a salt maze...

So is the new model working for you? Other wise you're looking at a complete build. That would mean a VC and everything. Unless parts can be saved or used from other models.

You can probably save some polys with a new pilot. Sid might work. We can get perms to use it.

Next your props modified to the more modern design. Didn't you do a Grumman already? You could use the parts off of the Albatross as it had the same size engine. Maybe a few other bits. Pssibly even from the C-47.

S-2 Trader:
Powerplant: 2 × Wright R-1820-82WA radial engines, 1,525 hp (1,137 kW) each

HU-16 Albatross
Powerplant: 2 × Wright R-1820-76 Cyclone 9 nine-cylinder single-row air-cooled radial engine, 1,425 hp (1,063 kW) each

I noticed that it has a wierd wing fold. They kinda just flop over. looks like its just after the wing root.

The E-1 probably folds like the Avenger.

Which in the pics here it does.

The simviation model will work. Just alot of work to get it rebuilt back to what it was (Animations). The simviation model dosen't have a VC as well but hoping I can make the interior that the model has will work for the VC.

Building the first LOD has been a PITA. Almost nothing from the imported model can be used for the LOD so I have scrach build 95% of the first LOD model.

I figured as much. After looking at it in MCX I had a feeling it would be a pain.
