I pulled many nights of guard duty at the USAF beach area which we shared and a few pleasant days chilling there enjoying a Coors or two. Ah the memories
 
WatchDog,

The upcoming beach scenery is just a guess at best, All I have is a very small side view pic that may show some structures of some sort
at the far end of the pic...I have no idea if they are military or local type buildings, even the location is a guess at this point.

Also I read a small blurb that the base itself had a drive inn movie theater...true ??

From memory there was a large beaching facility with a jet fuel pumping station, warehouses and a mess (Great food!). There was a fuel pipe from the pump station all the way to the airbase. The rec beach was in a separate compound to the north with a couple of buildings and a watchtower.
 
If by chance anyone has a link to a page or old map, or layout etc.... of the beach or pumping station
I have one original quick side polaroid pic of the beach and that is it.
I sure would love to see "anything", I have searched the internet to no avail.....
So for now I will just deliver my made up from imagination beach with no pumping station.

Sorry, looking back through the posts I didn't see the name of the beach.

I have some photos packed away of China Beach at DaNang.

I was responding to WatchDogs post about the Beach at Phan Rang,
I found a printed item and small pic on the internet but no real info and
no mention of the fuel docks.....or location.

I had not seen or found the pic of the pipes...so they had to be on an inlet or lagoon....Not on the front beach ??
