Vietnam for CFS2 Beta Release

I hope you guys like them.

I do have a bit of a problem. It seems I have to do a complete system restore. Luckily I think it was my own doing. Everything is backed up. It will take me some time to get it all back in order. I'll keep you all posted.
 
I might be SOL. It seems I never got all of the XP updates downloaded. I can't get any of the ones still available to download. So I'm either going to have to find a way to do it with Win 7 or my time might be up. I still have everything. I just can't use it. Anyone have a copy of XP SP3? that may get me back into the game.
 
You don't need any thing more than XP SP2 to get thing working for making CFS2 objects.
 
I would have used XP SP2 tell the day this PC dies but after the Edward Snowden thing a bunch of websites updated there web security certificates to a newer fourm that couldn't be installed on XP SP2 so I had to jump to SP3 (AKA Vista lite).

Do you need the full install of XP with SP3, or just the SP3?

MS still has the SP3 available for D/L. Link

This should be fun for Mission Writers, The Long Bien Bridge at Hanoi including miles and miles of the Song Hong river
from just North east of Hanoi all the way to the coast line.
GSL scenery and each section of the bridge is destroyable..... Coming soon.

Either would work. the problem is noting will download. I'm talking it to a pro down the street. hopefully he can get it working again. as of now I don't have my PSPx3. I may have lost some programs.

The reason I ask is because it may be the old browser, will
Firefox browser download? That is what I had to change to.

When I had to do my full re-install IE no longer worked
but I was able to download Fire Fox
 
As No Dice said. You may need FireFox. IE8 and Chome use the same certificates and they may show that a page has not loaded like you clicked on a bad link but it is not a bad link but certificate error.

Any one that uses Ground2K

Hello all,
Has anyone found a Concrete road or rail line texture that will work in Ground2K
without the distortion ? or am I not doing something correctly?

I don't have or messed with Ground2K but texture distortion could be from using small texture. With GroundMaker most of the road texture all old FS98/CFS1 that are small 64x64 that can distort. Can you tell your road/rail line to use a custom texture?

Yes Allen you can set all of your textures, I just can not seem to find one that works to my liking. I presently use a dirt runway to make dirt roads, But want to find
a concrete road that will look like a road. I will try some of the FS2004 textures.
 
Dave, you should check out the road texture that Onnogras used for his Dutch East Indies airfields, it may be suitable.

I will have a look at those............I may even try using ground 2k4 with CFS2 scenery...not so sure that will work though.
