Vought F7U Cutlass released!

I seem to have encountered a bug. When switching liveries in game, everything freezes, requiring a hard game exit via the task manager.

I'm seeing this sometimes with other add-on planes in FS2024 as of SU4 release; I think it affects more than just the Cutlass, though that's definitely one of the planes with the issue..

How do you loose the missiles?

There are a couple of switches on the panel that actually do other things. One drops a generic radio stack up to change frequencies, and another toggles the missiles. (Not at my sim right now to see exactly which it is, but I found it pretty quickly just messing around with the panel.)

I'll make a new thread somewhere tomorrow. One that is clean and only handles the new release.

BTW, I've been absent for a couple of days because of things happening in real life. Even members of staff have a life in the real world.

Ah found them, knew one did the radio stack, do realise the other switch was for the weapons.

Yep, I had that Linberg model as a wee lad, many flights ago. Do recall that box top of the Skyray. The more I fly this model, the more I like it.

Me too ! One of the better Virtavia's.

What do you think about the 'overall grey' appearance of the VC ?... No use to whine about it but it's one of the things i am not happy with. With a wagonload of coldwar jetfighter models on his sleeve Phil should know that atleast the instruments, gauges, bezels and most peripherals are usually black. Just plain black. Like that of the Cutlass.



Also not taken into account (but understandable, a lot more work involved placing the gauges) the panel is curved, like our precious curved monitors (atleast i won't be able to get used to a flat one anymore..;-). That would've been a nice touch but i can live with it, or rather without it. The dark grey color is another matter because i don't understand why you would do that. "Black is black i want my baby back".

Still, for 19,95 euri i'm happy with this extraordinairy aircraft that wouldn't have looked out of place in a Star Wars episode.

Do you have Airshow Assistant installed? I was getting lots of freezes when switching planes -- this one and some FS2020 planes, especially. Also some freezes when starting a second flight after loading the sim.

Disabled Airshow Assistant and things have been rock-solid again. Going to write up a bug report for Touching Cloud tomorrow.

Yes I do. Crash bug again today when switching variants of the B-25. Freeze, then crash to desktop.

Yep, I was getting the same thing. Disabled Airshow Assistant and can now switch B-25 models/liveries all day long.

I’m going to report the bug to touching cloud, and if you can repeat the issue, it would be great if you did too. The more of us who reach out, the quicker it’s likely to get fixed.
