VR Help

Hi,
I've been using a HP Reverb G2 for a good few years, and I've always been very happy with it, but over the past 6 months or so, I've been struggling to see into the middle distance (like lining up with runways). This is basically because my eyesight has diminished due to procedures I've needed.

I've been considering options for a replacement, and it looks to me like the Meta Quest 3 offers the best compromise and value for money, so I was wondering if anyone here has experience with the Reverb and Quest 3 and could tell me if I will see a noticeable difference in clarity?

The Quest 3 has been out for a few years now, so is this also old tech?

Thanks,
Ian

If your prescription has changed, have you considered VR Wave inserts made according to your latest prescription?

Quest 3 is definitely sharper than the Reverb G2, even connected wirelessly. As VipGroup suggested, though, prescription inserts are available that might save you the cost of new hardware.

Many thanks for your replies, chap's, very much appreciated. Yes, I was considering prescription lenses, but I wasn't sure if it was worth spending money on old tech.

Again, many thanks.

You would definitely see an improvement with the Quest 3, so it wouldn’t be throwing money away. However, the real dramatic improvement might be a combo of Quest 3 and prescription inserts…
