The SuperBug is released, quick report - Download and install were trouble free and so far she's all that VRS has promised. Much more exploring to do!

I'll enjoy looking at the screenshots over the following months whilst waiting for the FSX version...:icon31:

Downloading! To bad there isn't a Marine Corps version.....

Well since My beloved Corps does not fly it,..So be it. But you do get a fantasy Blue Angel version. Not that a VMFA-251 or -312 repaint would be turned away by me,..(not so subtle hint)

Our beloved Corps.:ernae: I'm sure someone will do a "fantasy" paint.

It has a lot of adjust ability. My frame rates are good, with little or no movement up or down. I'm running a Intel Q9450 quad core, so it eats up FS9.

This is just an amazing plane! There isn't anything else like it for FS9. The systems management alone blew me away! It's going to take some practice to manage all the systems. The bombs release, missles fire, gun fire but I'm not seeing any tracers. The sounds are excellent. The FM feels great!

All in all this is one finely crafted aircraft, a real masterpiece! I can tell it was a labor of love. There really aren't any other birds in the jet fighter catogory that even come close.....I can't think of any. I've only just begun to scrath the surface after a two hour intro into the systems! It doesn't seem like the type of plane you just jump in and go for a spin. Anyhow why would anyone want to with all the goodies to play with!!

Over all, I'd give this bug a nearly perfect score, if not perfect! I just need to spend some more time in the saddle. I don't think anyone would be disapointed with this purchase! I hope the VRS sells many copies so they can continue to build aircraft like this one!! Thanks Jon, you and your team did an amazing job!!:applause:

I’m quite blown away by this plane. Normally, the only jets I have any interest in are the older ones with “steam gauges”, but this particular plane I had to get, since I’m a little bit familiar with the real thing. The setup procedures are a bit involved for an FS plane, but not so difficult. I will need a bigger computer, as this thing is a bit heavy on CPU cycles! Took it up for a spin around the pattern at KNLC.

Here's some screenies. The VC shot is to show the FR hit it takes. The HUD as always seems to be the guilty party. A drop from 25 to 21 isn't that bad.

Well, it depends on the computer you have, obviously. I'm not making this stuff up... On mine, and many others, this will be a frame rate problem. Mine is an older machine. Time to upgrade!

While taking this screen shot, I heard a tone and thought, "hey, that sounds exactly like an ALR-67 status change tone. I wonder what it means..." Then I looked at the ALR-67 indicator, and there were radar sites appearing! That's cool.

just a reminder: you should blur/black out your OEM number in that screen-shot. A valid OEM number is very useful for replicating reg-keys to hackers...especially one with your real name attached as well.

I'll have to echo everything Mud said and add that I feel like FS9 is an addon for the SuperBug and not the other way around. I'm just into the basic systems documentation and the depth is incredible. That it was done by a very small team makes it more so! I might add that it appears from the support forum that very few issues are being reported that don't relate to the **** syndrome. It's a very well done effort, buy it!

Thanks Feng... :redf:

I'm getting better frame rates after doing some tweaking in the Aircraft Configuration Manager. You can tune down the level of detail in the VC, for instance, and that helped some.

Enemy Caravan spotted sir! :icon_twi:

I haven't engaged any enemy C-172's yet!:costumes: I wonder, do you get a lock on tone? Guess it's back to the manual!

Great plane and you even get radar and sam-sites that threaten you and could damage your plane (the sams that is). Love it, finally a 'hint' of combat sim!

I think this is the last classic addon for FS9 (Next to the Sabre from Jan)
