Wake Up Free TDS 787 Released

Unless this is an updated file or this VC sux I think you guys might have wasted time importing one from another source.

The transfer of data seemed to work fine. Now if I could get this modular unit to install itself as the 787 cockpit, all would be good. The module acts like a separate aircraft installation.

It appears the 737 cockpit module doen't know how to attach to the 787 fuselage

It's attached just fine olderndirt, that's how it's supposed to look and you are almost there. Your eyepoint settings just need to be adjusted so the cockpit view opens inside rather than outside the VC. See the coordinates above or try mine (using the 737-800 default VC + some custom textures from simviation). You can move inside it also using the Shift + Return/Backspace, Ctrl + Return/Backspace keys.

NB: when splicing in a different VC I find you need to exit the sim altogether once or twice for everything to work.

Your eyepoint numbers worked perfectly however all the flat screens are still off. Get an occasional flash from the brightness control but that's it. Navcom frequency selects are lit.

You will need to have entries to the default 737-800 gauges in your panel.cfg (along with the new ones from TDS)

Mine looks like this but I have some "special gauges in their you might not have and need to swap with some others you do have:

Knocked this together using freeware bit from various sources:
My panel VC01 first line was 01 but reset them all back. Didn't have any of the 'callouts' - left them out. There was no VC02 or VC03 so copied and pasted your entries. Still no instrument lighting. Copied and pasted your entire entry - no joy.

That should be caused by one of two things: your gauge references are wrong - be sure they refer to the default 737-800 gauges (someone else above was using 777-300 gauges - easy to miss this kind of error) OR you don't have the default 737-800 gauges in either your panel or main gauges folder (the latter is unlikely and therefore the culprit is probably your gauge entries).

Success. It needed the .cab file from the B737_800 panel folder. Without your help, I'd still be looking - thanks.

Thanks

:jump: Thanks to all who posted above after my question at the weekend - really appreciated !!!

(Oh I did get the default 738 panel to work thanks to your collective guidance !)

Noticed when using the FSX native model (with merged default 737 panel) that I lost some ground equipment animations - the fuel truck won't show at all (the stand that comes out of the ground does still work) and also the tug won't move out of position. Anybody else notice this?

OK, have checked and replaced all utility gauge entries and gauges and the problem remains. If I A > B test against the FS9 model however these missing animations reappear. I know Hiroshi designs for FS9 and though not mentioned by many I have never had GE animations work for their POSKY FSX native 737 models, as has been confirmed by one or two others (v5 767 native models have all GE animations working normally on the other hand).

All of mine show correctly, except the Tug does not move out of position when "Wait" is selected. The towbar wheels lower and raise but the Tug itself doesn't move.

I was experiencing various VC display problems with the panel "aliased". I did mod the 738 panel.cfg to incorporate the TDS stuff, and it didn't seem to affect the 738 at all.
Once I put a copy of the 738 panel folder(Panel.X) in the TDS plane, the problems went away. Odd.

gaugeXX=EXT_TEXTURE_ANIM!EXTTEST, 0, 0, 512, 512

That gauge corrupted my overhead and caused some of the display problems I was having. That was happening both aliased and normal. I commented it out, and all is working good now...Don

Funny, I also have the non moving tug but no fuel tanker appears no matter what I try - unless I switch to the FS9 model.

New GenX variant and new JAL repaint available! Thanks Hiroshi and Yosuke...
