Warbirdsim Mustang for FSX - Download

Just another day gone - without any reaction from Warbirdsim.com - send them an email this morning without any response. To ignore me is not a solution Gentleman !
 
Even though it had it running for a while, I'm now in the same predicament..
The model went transparent on my, so I went for a re-install...or so I thought.
Let's see who gets it flying first, shall we?
 
Some variations of this Mustang are transparent, while others are not... All fly and display in the sim fine, though...:isadizzy:
 
Hello jankees - sorry to read about your trouble - I think that you will win - flying her first. Until this morning i get absolut no response to my last emails or get a download-link for the product that i have paid for (at the 29.Dec !).

I notice a few times that Bomber_12th is logged in here - as far as i know one of the guys from warbirdsim - but no one from them will give me an answer.

So if some of you warbirdsim-guys read this - I WANT MY MONEY BACK !!!!!

To our members here that have not recieved your download..You have done everything in your power to be thoughtful and have handeled the posting of this problem in complete compliance of our forum rules..Thank you for that..

This is how a problem should be handled..no bashing..Now all forum members are free to see the deal, and form their own opinions as to if they want to purchase this add on.

Thanks for yet another warning. Very little positive things have been said about warbirdsim. I just get mad when I read things like this. :mad:
Thank goodness I stuck to my gut. A2A must bring there P51 soon.

Hope you get your money back. Let this be a warning to everyone.

Guys, I have been in touch with Bomber_12th and he is aware of the situation and working on it..

I know this deal is frustrating for him too.

Jankees, have you changed anything in your computer, hardware wise? It looks like you've lost activation for some reason..

......and on the homefront folks, still no word from Warbirdsim...

Jankees, I hope this isn't the case but it looks like you'll have to request another activation.

I'm not looking forward to the next time I have to re-install this package or FSX or even windows for that matter...
 
Many thanks for the info Darrell, it is good to hear that they work on the situation.
I greatly respect Bomber_12th skills in developing aircrafts and his wonderfull Paintkits - what I absolutly do not understand is the way warbirdsim handle such a case like mine. A simple email which contains information why it is so a great action to send me a confirmation-email with a download-link would have make me happy. I send them different times emails which contains all the transaction-dates so they can see that i have paid for the Mustang.
I buy a "Download-Version" because i want to have it immediately - otherwise i orderd a "Boxed-Version". I wait since 11 Days and get nothing - that is not immediatlely for a downlaod-link . Now is another day over without any response - that is in my opinion a very, very bad customer-service.

well, with me it is all of them, in the viewer and in the game. This after a reinstall using the old activation code, no difference with before the re-install...I tried to do it the official way (sending mails and all that), but for some reason it will not generate the needed info to send to warbirdsim.
Rather annoying really...this is turning in a real love/hate relationship, I don't think there is a model I have hated this much, but loved very much at times as well, and have spent as much money on.

All I can say is 'do not install too many repaints!!!!!'
That's what brought this one I think, as it first happened after I installed yet another repaint, and deleted some of the paints that came with it to make room (it wouldn't go beyond about 30 paintjobs..). Could also be the change to a new year, it happened on jan 1st I believe...
So whatever you do, do not go beyond 30...and do not change the year...

edit: no, I did not change my computer in any way as far as I know.
 
...trying to use both the WBS and the FlightOne P-51's in a video (using FSrecorder), all I got was :

this doesnt happen when both airplanes are WBS P-51's...
I guess I'll only use Flight1 Mustangs for my vid! :pop4:

...Oh boy..this outta be a real treat next January then.... *being sarcastic as I doubt it would loose activation every year, it's just my way of coping with this endless frustration :icon_lol::isadizzy::icon_lol::icon_lol::isadizzy::isadizzy:*

Yes, this is a known bug, see the thread on Fowlmere. You can only see this baby under recorder if you are flying one yourself.
As I said, love/hate...

funny, even in this shot you can see that the tail on the flight1 version is too small...

I didnt notice that! but at least, one can SEE the tail of this P-51 :ernae:

i pray every day that nothing happens to my computer and have to activate this again.

was good that warbirdsim releases a code that would break with this lousy security system once and for all... this doesn't work!!! they cleared their name and everyone was happy!!!

and the relationship with customers has to change too :monkies:

how they will sell more addons?

That's a shame :mixedsmi: customer's should not have to fear if they reformat or upgrade there PC, that their stang will be a hassle to re-activate. (especially for the price they ask)

I was thinking of getting this, really glad I did not, seems like a nightmare.

Eagerly awaiting A2A's w/Accusim :applause:

They won't... under their current business model... It's a shame really..a nice addon, but unusable in its current state.

Sort of ironic, they say they went with this massive security system to prevent piracy which is causing them to loose $$, yet they're running off customers they do already have and virtually guaranteeing fewer sales on the next release.
