The ending text at the end of the activation code does have the word "Ariane" in it....

They claim not. They claim to just be impressed with what Ariane does.

I strongly suspect otherwise, as the modus operandii are so amazingly similar, but have neither proof nor any effective method of getting such.

yes, i don't even knew ariane before buying from warbirsim, but it is all too similar.

I will try to find a way to get my well earned money back from this "ripp off" company. I'm REALLY angry about such a behaviour and I'm very sorry for the good guys who have created such nice work. Sorry Dirk, I can't send a pm at the moment (I have to do 10 posts before...), so here another one in English...

I really want(ed) this plane, but I'm not sure if anyone will ever hear again from Warbirdsim. In my opinion, the fact that mails can't be sent to them could be a sign that they are finally broke. The whole "sale" could be just a last attempt to raise some money.
I don't know what to do at this point. Maybe Bomber_12th can bring us the light...

Hi Kai, I'm not trying to defend what can't (and shouldn't) be defended, but some people think GMX has a bit of a reputation for spam and some companies automatically block all mail from them. Maybe as a last resort you could try another e-mail service or even Windows Mail?

Just to let you know - i try to send them a mail one hour ago - with the same result as macroth72 - Mail delivery failed.

I purchased this aircraft as well and now have a dud aircraft sitting on my hard drive.

I did not recieve an email with the code I was supposed to cut & paste for registration and did not get the supposed web page with the details. And there is no way for you to log in and check your purchase history like you can with Aerosoft and others.

So after reading this thread I have given up and written it off as a bad experience and I advise people on other forums not to even think of buying it.

If Bomber 12th can do something for me then I will appreciate it. But I know his hands are tied as well.

In case anyone cares, I ran a trace route via ipconfig to both www.arianedesign.com and www.warbirdsim.com and it is the SAME ip address.... big surprise there

Just tried to email them on my hotmail account and it wouldn't go through. I will now try once with my ISP email and see if that works.

I supported ariane for a very long time, but this is dispicable.. I cant tell you how it saddens me. I'm really sorry for all that has happened to you folks, and wish there were something i could do, but i'm not associated with ariane or any of their people in any way, so i'm afraid there is nothing..

Warbirdsim seems to be operating out of UK. Is there a consumer protection agency in UK where one can file a complaint to? In Singapore, we can file a complaint to the Small Claims Tribunal against errant vendors.
