Water sounds for float/sea planes kit uploaded

OBIO

Retired SOH Admin
I just uploaded a small package that makes it real easy to add water sounds to the take off and landing rolls of sea/float/amphib planes. Using the Ground Roll section from the stock C208 and a water loop sound file that I modified (made it louder so it could be heard over the sounds of the engine...but not too loud), this package will make it easy for anyone who can Copy and Paste to add water sounds to their favorite flying boats. The package is in the FS2004 Other section of the down load library.

OBIO,,

......When inserting the text into the sound config, do you replace ALL ground roll sections? In my carenado 172N float model, there are 5 or 6 ground roll sections....

I usually replace the entire Ground Roll section...but you may want to experiment and just add those lines that activate the water sounds. Remember to renumber the lines to follow the stock sequence.

The ground roll section was pulled from the stock C208B...the amphib version. It works equally well on wheeled, amphib and float planes. The Ground Roll section has lines that pull up sounds when the plane is on land and other lines that pull up sounds when the plane is on water. Using this Ground Roll section, you can modify one sound package and use it for wheeled, float and amphib versions of a plane that use the same engine.
