    Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

    You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

    If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

    To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

I am not seeing any. I thought these were implemented by now ?
Or is it a setting that i have wrong?
 
I do have those when landing on a wet runway for instance. Or are you referring to amphibian planes landing on water? You should have water spray then.

That is very strange. I'll do some searching tonight. Have a couple of errands to run.

Apparently the files that control the effects can be found in the following folders:

fs-base-effects-legacy/effects
fs-base-effects/VisualEffectLibs/Asobo/Base

Have a look at your graphics options too Danny. Your water waves should be set to high as well.

Water waves is on high and those effect folders are in place. I am gonna test it with an empty comm folder.

All Buildings Pink at EHAM after latest MSFS2020 update

Hello all, Really pleased with the update everything was going swimmingly until I plugged in a flight originating at the default EHAM. All the dammed buildings were pink with the chequerboard pattern. Removed the airport from the Steam library and let the sim rebuild the airport...No Joy. Rebuilt...

But a bug report on the official forum is the official way to ensure the developers notice. Posting here and on Avsim is Abe Simpson yelling at clouds as far as they're concerned. :)
 
Apparently this was already found by beta testers 22 days ago and reported. Heca has the same problem.

Pink textures.. so far EHAM only - default ASOBO Scenery

Yesterday, all ok (well, let’s not count the CD 5 minutes before landing after a 1.5 hr flight) PMDG 737, nothing changed by myself since last night Today msfs2020 update via the store + ingame update (small one) Amsterdam airport EHAM : see picture… Other airports: no issue Done sofar...

I just deleted those 2 effect folders and let fs build new ones.
I still have no water effects though.
 
Just tried a soaked runway , no spray.
Then i tried a dirt runway , no effects.
I know i had these things in the past but i don't know when it stopped being there.
I spend most of the time inside tbh.
 
I have the same issue, haven't tested water effects but dust is definitely not there even with sim FX installed & active.
