What cars have you owned?

Strangley, the Morris Minor sold quite well in the United States, when i was in San Fransico a few years back, i saw 2.
cheers ian

1970 Fiat Spyder (high school days)
1976 Chevrolet Vega (off to college)
1983 Volvo GL (just married)
1988 Dodge Caravan (now a parent, second car)
1970 Dodge Challenger (closest I've gotten to a mid-life crisis car)
1998 Mitsubishi Galant (had to sell the Challenger -- still regret that)
1997 Toyota Rav4 (I totaled this one but survived)
2001 Volkswagon Cabrio (I own it but daughter drives it)
2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee (now my daily ride, great geocaching vehicle)
:ernae:

Ahh, yes...I've fond (?) memories of Morris Minors and their bio-degradable floorpans!:icon_lol:

I've got less than fond memories of that damn engine though. I used to have a Mini (proper one, not the small BMW); the problem with using the lump from the Minor was it had to be turned sideways, which meant the distributor was at the front of the engine close to the ground - wet weather was never fun.

Good morning,

This is going to be an ugly list, but what the heck...

1992 Toyota Corolla Station Wagon (Lost in a bad accident - Fell asleep at the wheel and hit a stone wall at about 65 km/h after being up all night in an ER and forced into work by a boss who subsequently got fired)

1992 Toyota Corolla Sedan (Transmission died 'cause ma and pa kettle who owned it before me never changed the transmission fluid)

1985 Buick Skylark four-banger (Lost in a care fire while driving)

1989 Chevy Beretta (Lost when someone tore off my front bumper in an accident)

1990 Chevy Beretta (Sold to my neighbor's kid)

1994 Dodge Shadow (I nursed it for three years, sold before the transmission died)

1999 Nissan Altima (Presently driving every day, has more than 370,000 miles on it)

2006 Toyota Prius, which I never drive unless my wife needs gas, because she is unaware that the law was repealed which prohibited women from purchasing gasoline.

My first road car was a BL Mini 998cc into which I foolishly transplanted a 1275cc engine leaving the stock drum brakes all round!:kilroy::icon_lol:
Loved the car so much that I never sold it...it's final resting place is on my parent's farm.

I almost bought a Mini when I was in Scotland, but lucked into a sweet deal on my second Ford New Anglia. It was the pickup version and the only one of those I ever saw.

1959 Dodge M30 (Old Army Truck)
1961 VW Beetle (I put a Corvair engine in it)
1962 Chevy Shortbed Pickup (Super Customised and Modified)
1965 GMC Shortbed Pickup (Shoe horned a 400 cu. in. V8 into this one.... WOW!)
1965 Chevy Corvair Spyder
1975 Ford Fairlane (Modified 400 Cleveland, 4 speed B&M Racing Tranny)
1986 Toyota Corolla (Stingy on gas...)
1992 Toyota 4X4 Pickup (Still own this baby)
2000 Ford F-150 4X4 Pickup (Still have this one too)
2003 Toyota Tacoma Limited (The wife's truck)

I guess I should update my list, since I started this. Don't have the Tundra anymore. Bought a Jeep Wrangler (4-door type) 1 year ago. I like it, but the little "6-tube" doesn't have near the power as the V-8 did in the Tundra. I do miss that. Also miss being able to tote big stuff easily. Pick-em up trucks are useful!

Re: Same

1962 Dodge Dart (paid $35 for it and it only had low and reverse gears)
1960 Studebaker Lark 8 (drove it until I went into the Navy, $40 and all the gears worked although it'd pop out of 2nd every now and then. Very tough ol' car. It was still in my uncle's junkyard 5 years ago)
1964 Ford 105E Anglia (rusted out POS)
1966 Ford 105E Anglia (English Ford that I owned when I was stationed in Scotland)
1960 Royal Enfield 500 Super Meteor twin (first bike also in Scotland)
1966 Triumph 2000 sedan (should have kept the 66 Anglia)
1970 Triumph Bonneville 650 (didn't have it long)
1971 Chevy Nova (first hot rod)
1967 Pontiac GTO Ram Air (very darned quick, sold the Nova to buy it)
1975 Pontiac Lemans Sport Coupe with the 455 engine (was totaled in a head on when a pickup came around a sharp curve on my side of the road, loved this one. Engine eventually went into a 67 Chevy pickup a few years later)
1974 Chevy Vega (souped up Vega engine and drive train, bought it not running and used the running gear out of a smashed up 73 Vega GT to rebuild it)
1965 Chevy pickup with a '71 Pontiac GTO 400 engine in it (had the truck that needed an engine and a totaled out GTO that I bought for parts)
1971 Chevy pickup (heavy duty camper special, darn that thing would haul some heavy loads, I don't miss the constant 8mpg though)
1980 Jeep CJ5 (first vehicle I bought new and probably the one I miss the most)
1966 Cadillac Coupe de Ville (wife's)
1972 Chevy Vega GT (traded the Cadillac for it)
1965 Chevy pickup (straight six and tough as nails, wish I still had it)
1972 Ford Grand Torino wagon (bought for a work and fishing car, never could keep brakes on it)
1985 Ford F-150 Supercab (new)
1967 Mercedes 250S that had a 200D engine in it. (what a POS, but it got me around for a while until I got something better (VW Rabbit))
1980 VW Rabbit Diesel (bought it used for $150 and drove it for several years, another I miss, totaled out in a wreck in New Orleans)
1974 Triumph Trident 750 (last bike, my brother in law borrowed it and it caught fire with him, he just let it burn)
1989 GMC S-Jimmy (last new vehicle I bought)
1983 Chevy Suburban (wife's, bought to replace the Jimmy after we had kid #4 and no longer could fit everyone in the Jimmy or the Rabbit)
1982 GMC Sierra (originally a six, but I swapped in a very warmed up 283 V-8 and put a custom paint job on it)
1992 Camaro RS 25th Anniversary Edition (mid life crisis-mobile)
(after the Camaro, I bought the '83 Suburban back from the now ex-wife and drove it for a couple more years)
1985 Ford Bronco II 4x4 (another I miss)
1997 Chevy C1500 Cheyenne extended cab (another with continual brake problems, other than that it was a pretty solid truck)

and now have a 2005 GMC Sierra crew cab 1/2 ton with all the bells and whistles.
and a 2002 Chevy Cavalier for buzzing around town

These are just the ones I bought for myself or my wife. There were dozens of others that I'd buy cheap, fix up and re-sell. Like the time I bought 3 junk VW Beetles for $100. Made one good one, another so-so one and sold what was left to someone that was building dune buggies.

Forgot to add that I do own my Dad's old 1947 2 ton Chevy wrecker, but it's at my sister's in NC. I need to figure some way to get here.

Here's a few pics

1) 1985 Bronco II 2) 1997 Cheyenne 3) 1947 Chevy wrecker 4) 2005 GMC Sierra

That's guite a list.

What a list for sure, too many hobbies at times for me:

1970 Chevy Nova (1st car, dad got as a father/son project-owned it 2 weeks)
1969 Firebird (The trade for the Nova. High school car, kick myself in the rear everyday for selling it. Needed a new engine, sold for a bike. Actively trying to search the VIN and buy it back now)
1988 Chevy Camaro IROC-Z (bought off a Navy bud, surprised I didn't kill myself...fast car+young/dumb driver=bad)
2001 Chevy S-10 (Sensible choice since I needed to haul my motorcycles around)
1999 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 (missed the muscle car feel)
1998 Chevy Corvette C5 coupe (1st Vette and project car, too much project for my time/$$$)
2005 Toyota Tacoma (Needed a truck, great buy and plan to run into the dirt)

Motorcycles start with a slew of Kawasaki "Ninja" series (EX250, EX500) and dirt bikes.
1996 ZX-7R (Still have, track bike)
2008 Ducati 1098 (1st Italian twin and low flying fighter, only complaint not passenger friendly)

2012??? After my sentence in the "Stan", looking at used (have to pick only 1): boat/airplane/Harley/Find the long lost Firebird from my teen years)

1995 Mazda 626, Black. It was a rolling ashtray My mother smokes like a chimney, the engine I thought burned up
