He ! he is sous lieutenant Georges Baptizet, GC II/4, 9 safe sure and 4 probable in 1940 ! He ends lieutenant colonel in 1956 and died the 5/09/1974.:salute:

The plane is escorted by commander Rozanoff in CEMA to Orléans-Bricy for testing.

You can tell it's an E-1 or 3 by the early canopy - the E-4/7 canopy had the framing on the top corners, not on the side near the top like this. That means it's an E-1 or E-3. The E-3 had visible cannon sticking out of the wing, with breech-bulges below the wing, while this one has only ports for machine-guns and no bulges. So it's an E-1.

But I haven't seen photos or profiles of this particular aircraft before. Nice!

But, René Mouchotte began the war on June 17th, 1940 if you read his book "Mes carnets":
"Je viens d'apprendre par la radio l'incroyable nouvelle de la capitulation de Pétain."
We know the man whom was René Mouchotte and...he was dressed by RAF ! :icon_lol:

I'd be interested, too, if somebody has any more info. Bf109e-3 White 1 is well known, but there were others that fell into Allied hands before the end of the French Campaign.

Do you know about the Rafwaffe?

Has anyone done skins of captured German aircraft other than the stock 109 and 190 available here? I know the allies captured a number of Luftwaffe aircraft throughout the war and evaluated them, especially the higher tech models later in the war.
