What kind of vehicle do you drive/own?

Hey Mike,

Many thanks for the heads up. I'll look into getting them checked. Sounds like they are belts instead of chains then?
...
I'll bet that snowmobile is a blast out there in the snow! Have fun while you can before summer hits!

Bill

Actually, the VG45 V8 does have chains under those timing covers and not belts. Four of em to be precise...five if you count the oil pump drive chain. :d
Yes, they are a royal pain to replace too. A friend of mine at work has a '90 Q45 and we got the distinct pleasure of replacing them last fall. I got suckered into helping because I had been trying to talk him into selling the car to me for several years now...I still want one of those engines to stuff into my little shortbox 4x4 Hardbody!

And yes we do have enough snow this year that I'm enjoying the sledding even though it's been way too far below zero for my taste!

Nice rides Rob! Love that Ducati, and the wheels on your Alfa as well. Reminds me of the Compagnollos on the first Lamborghini Countach's.

I also have a 1995 Ford Probe I drive daily . . .

Cheers Lionheart. Those wheels are pretty, but the paint flakes like crap! I'm getting them powder coated in a couple of weeks. Don't know why though, cos I've got my eye on a limited edition Autodelta 156 GTA AM 3.7 V6, 400BHP! The guy needs to sell quickly.....:jump:

Oops forgot a piccy, not this one, but as near as makes no difference...

2003 CAMRY. Comfortable, good ride, good gas mileage, good acceleration, seats five, and most of all, very reliable. Have yet to have a single problem with it.

2003 VW Passat 1.8T TipTronic wagon (a real wagon, not a Seriously Ugly Vehicle) 220kph before it runs out of air and 28 mpg when I drive my age.

-which replaced our 1993 Passat VR6/2.8 Wagon (want it? I still have it but the tranny died),
-which replaced our 1985 VWGolf and '86 Dodge (Mitsu) Colt Turbo (only year with the full aero package -120 hp in 2600# of car that was stable at 120mph)
-Which replaced the 78' Toyota Corona Mk2 (the 6 cyl. 'large' Corona)
-which replaced the 1976 Fiat X-1/9 (Sigh, *** whimper - honey, I miss you!)

-which replaced the 1973 Corona Mk 2 that I rallyed and drove until some twit in an old GMC crossed the median and went nose-to-nose with me at 50mph (each) as I was coming home from work - who says big vehicles are safer.. the driver's wife was a bloody mess with a serious concussion and a 'brand' on her forehead that looked like the cast GMC crest that was on their dash... I had a sore wrist, a sore knee and a belt-bruise on my chest from the competition harness.

American?? oh.. I once owned a 53 IH Panel truck before I bought my '62 Austin Mini Panel Delivery. Hidden in my deep, dark past was that '73 Pinto in :bs: brown

I wish I had an actual picture of my GLi but at the moment its been taken over by laundry lol and in almost as good of condition as the one in the add.

Ive got me a 2008 Volvo S80 and a 2006 BMW 530i. Love them both.

1983

Nice Stang Bismark. Is that an 85?

It is a 1983. Was a California Car. I think I have replaced/restored everything but the Transmission. Engine has only 33,000 on it.
I was thinking of getting a supercharger but then I got married (which is why I haven't been around here for a year or so) and my wife has other plans. I was smart enough to tell her I wasn't going to give up the Mustang, but my Eagle Talon is now history . . . .

I drive a 2002 Chevy Venture van and a 2000 Harley Davidson ElectraGlide Ultra Classic. Wifey has a 2004 Mitsubishi Gallant and a 1998 Harley FatBoy...:ernae:

88 Acura Legend sedan; first car designed entirely online. the 24 valve V6 is well-nigh indestructable and has a Vtec-like variable intake that cycles in shorter runners at high rpms...rides like a cross between a built fourth gen civic hatch and a Sedan DeVille
