1992 Ford Aerostar extended van, Eddie Baur Dk Blue and Gold. 267,000+ miles. 4.0L V6, All Wheel drive. Had to replace tranny when I bought it at 186,000, in 1997. Except for intake gasket and one injector, engine is totally original. Unfortunately, Iowa winters starting to get to it. This my daily driver. Excellent all weather vehicle. 19-24 MPG

1989 GMC Safari van. Wifey's. 4.3L V6. Had to put headgaskets on it shortly after we bought it in '96. Had 180,000 on it, then. 202,000 now. Terrible in snow. NO TRACTION! Has six sandbags in back, still not enough. 18MPG

1987 Lincoln Towncar, 5.0L 302 MPFI engine. (Mustang GT engine one year before Mustang got it.) 18-22MPG Excellent car. 140,000 miles. No rust. Was my dad's car, got it when he couldn't drive anymore due to age related macular degeneration. Going to need valve seals or intake gasket, starting to use oil, not leaking. (I'm an ex Ford mechanic, this not unusual for this series engine.)

1982 Ford E-100 Econoline short cargo van. Bought in 1983 with 86,000 miles. Now has 255,000 on original 300ci straight six with three on the tree, and no power anything. two clutches, each at 100,000 miles. Fingers worn off pressure plate, clutch still good. Manual steering gearbox worn out, and starting to rust pretty bad. Still starts right up and runs like new. Mainly used for storage now. Does get started and moved every six months. got 19mpg when it was my daily driver.

tiburons only started being equiped with optional V6 engines with the second generation of these cars in 2002 .
this one has an inline 4 cylinders , DOHC 16V . not a powerhouse by any means but it only has 84 000 miles ( for a 2000 model , it is good ) and at $2600 , is a great deal and still has plenty of power to loose the driver's licence fairly quickly :costumes: . it is sold by the owner because he didn't have the money to keep it in addition to his V6 mustang and his girlfriend's miata .

Got some pics of the 'Q' up.

Shined up the powerplant/reactor core/FTL drive with a bit of ArmourAll, Clorox spray cleaner, and windex.

I cant find the tie down rings though.... What if a gust of wind comes up? Should I tie it down to the house?

:d

That your new ride Bill ???

That is screaming for a lionheart stripe or two on it......:friday:

The Q Nice ride.....

Bill, was the X-19 yours, and what happened to it? They were a sweet little 2 seater for their time. Almost bought one too.

Thanks Harleyman.

It was, but I sold it to help finance that red wedges construction. The X-1/9 was originally gold, repainted Porsche Guards red, fitted with Vitaloni Baby Turbo mirrors, and I filled in that round badge indenton on the nose and fitted it with a Ferrari badge, lol... It got alot of wierd looks.

The red thing though couldnt be left on the street.

If I had millions.... I would finish one of those and fit it with a jet turbine APU for an engine and have backup electrics so I could silently drive around at night. :d

Well, after a couple of days patching on the ol' black '97 Chevy Cheyenne that I've had for 8 years, I jury rigged it enough to use it for a trade in on a low mileage '05 GMC Sierra with the 4 door cab and all the bells and whistles this afternoon. From the deal I got including the financing, this has got to be a buyer's market right now on vehicles.

I'll post pics of both when Mrs Willy get's 'em off the camera.

I've had Corvettes and Cadillacs, but my current ride is my favorite - '02 Acura TL. I've had it since it was brand new and love it. Currently at 104K and it still runs like new. Knock on wood, I hope it lasts a few more years.

Yes, it's American-made, in Marysville, OH.

Bill, I like the color of the car, a bit too large for my taste, but clean lines and great color. A sporty line over it would be really neat;)

Apart from my personal fiat-100bhp-dwarf (I still love the look on the faces of those big-BMW drivers when they disappear in my rearviewmirror after "taking off" from a stoplight, priceless experience:woot:) the lady got her new "baby" (standing outside the window so she can watch it all the time) two weeks ago.

I tested it for two whole days (she allowed it...) and it´s pure joyride. Great roadholding for the size (better than I thought.-), smooth italian drive, nice handling and acceleration and agile steering. The workoff is exceptional, nice details of REAL chrome inside, a varnished black dashboard and fire-red seats.
Alex

PS: this feature pretty much covers the true essence of the little car

Alex,

Awesome little car! I'll bet she is just loving it!

Thanks for the youtube link. Just watched it. Very nice interior.

So true about dashes becoming a bit too plasticky these days... Good to see someone doing some nice attention-to-detail on tidbits in the cockpit.

The weather here has turned really bad and it'll probably be a couple of days before I can get a good pic of the GMC, but here's a pic of it from the dealer's website.

2004 Toyota 4x4 Quad cab, leather interior, spray in bed liner, nerfs, bug visor, vent visors, w/leer canopy. 32,000 miles and I own it.

2008 Ford F350 crew cab, long bed with 4WD. It's the only vehicle I've found that doesn't kill my back. P*ss poor mileage, but I knew that going in since she's the third one I've had since they came out.

We thought about a smaller truck like that Toyota, but we pull a two horse trailer at least a couple of times a month, so we decided to get another full size big cab pickup. Besides, fullsize pickups make the best Horse Support Vehicles :d.

According to the fancy onboard mileage computer, it's getting an average of 17.5mpg which is a little better than the old '97 Chevy got. I'll find out what it gets on the highway when I go to the Navy base in Millington this week.
