Willy's Flight of the Gee Bee to Oz

Day IV, October 23, 1934

Getting ready for a pre-dawn take off to Rangoon. Going to have to throttle back a bit to make this one.

Good to see you still haven't killed yourself. It seems the only way to land this aircraft is to crash it. Our you bounce, bounce, bounce, bounce, etc....

Take care I keep following you!

Cheers,
Huub

That Gee Bee just scares the piss out of me. I would not go near that thing. It looks like a durn bumble bee, it should not be possible for that thing to fly. Those Granville brothers have lot to answer for.

Other than being a serious pain in the rear to land, it's not that bad.

Loading up for the flight to Alor Setar.

Willy, you really should have contacted me while in Bangkok. Sure I could have organized a good massage with some therapeutic and aromatic oils to sooth all those bruises you must have by now. Not to mention a happier ending to that leg :mixed-smiley-010:!

Day V, October 24, 1934

Going to try to make it to Batavia. Hope I can stretch out the gas...

0400ish take off and heading on to Batavia. Nice morning for a flight.

Funny enough it will be spring once you crossed it..... Oh and try not to chrashland again :biggrin-new:

Goodluck,
Huub

Nice landing in Batavia with decent weather..

You mean no extraneous bits left spread across the field? no big puddles of oil marking the threshold?

(Makes note to self: get ahead of Willy to ensure availability of runways) :biggrin-new:
