• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

As the exterior seems to be very much up to the mark... how can we make AvHistory create a flight model for it and a few other additions we've had lately?

Hummm... Getting it unstuck. When my Father-In-Law taught me to fly his Luscombe Seaplane the trick was to use your wake. You would taxi down wind, turn 180 and start your take-off run back up along the inside of one of the wakes you'd just made. First you would get the pontoons up on the step, build some speed and then you would jump one off the wake. After a moment to let the speed build up some more, you would jump the second one off the wake, and you'd be airborne.

came across this poem this morning:

So drink to the Black Cat PBY,
Damnedest old plane in all God's sky,
BB-gun for'd and a slingshot aft,
Hundred twenty knots when in a forced draft.

:ernae: Thanks John she's a beaut!
