Introducing the Wyvern Mk.1, the latest addition from Classic Aircraft Simulations—pushing the limits of plausibility and the MSFS flight model. Faithfully recreated from ancient scrolls, questionable folklore, and a generous serving of imagination, the Wyvern is a fully flyable winged reptile for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

Equipped with a four-limb thrust vectoring system (two wings, two legs) and a powerful long range anti-ice system (fire breathing capabilities), the Wyvern Mk.1 offers short takeoff capability (just jump) and terrain-aware landing gear (claws). Its organic flight model is tuned for agility, glide, and occasional mid-air roars that cause severe wake turbulence. Fuel efficiency varies depending on snack availability.

Whether you’re looking to buzz towers in medieval fashion or perform casual sightseeing over photogrammetry cities, the Wyvern Mk.1 delivers a truly classic flying experience. It doesn’t come with avionics, because instinct is the ultimate glass cockpit.

The world is already too much "dungeons and dragons" to my liking. So glad I'm still on 2020, I don't even have to pass on this one!

Absolutely love the description of this excellent livery for the Wyvern. Nothing personal, Priller! :)

Meet Baz The Enforcer, a magnificent yet mildly up-tight Wyvern who soars through the digital skies with vibrant green scales and an unparalleled flair for existential dread. Baz is no ordinary Wyvern; he’s found himself inside a Flight Simulator, a program designed to replicate serious aviation — but instead, it's being hijacked by people pretending to pilot fantastical beasts like, well, himself.

This flagrant misuse of technology infuriates Baz to his core. His rage ignites like his fiery breath every time a player makes him swoop dramatically or do barrel rolls that defy both physics and dignity. "I am not a toy for your whimsical frolics!" he roars into the pixelated abyss. Yet, each indignant protest only deepens the conundrum he faces: if he is merely a Wyvern in a simulation, what even is he?

Baz spirals into philosophical musings mid-flight, questioning whether his anger is valid, or if his existence is just code. Is he real enough to feel betrayed by amateur pilots with questionable motives? Or is he just a glorified collection of polygons manipulated by the whims of gamers seeking mythical glory? His mind writhes in turmoil like a dragon trapped in turbulence.

And so, Baz flies, somewhere between roaring and brooding, between simulated skies and existential despair—a Wyvern hero navigating the chaotic crossroads of virtual reality and self-discovery. If only he could find answers… or at least someone who respects his airspace.

It's far from my normal interests, but it is such an impressive piece of work, and so dang cool - 3D model, animations, sounds, and effects, all superb. What an amazing gift to the community, and one I will definitely be keeping in my virtual hangar.
