XBox Major Outage 07/27/26

Try to fly this morning, error code saying 'server not available'. Checked service status on Xbox live, was able to sign in to Xbox, but cannot launch 2024, with the status indicating a 'major outage' at this time. A little further digging reveals they know what the issue is, the fix is pending. You guys seeing the same thing?
 
Still a problem with 2024 and 2020. The XBox customer service page shows issue diagnosed with fix pending. Wonder how long pending means. Hope AI can find an answer.
 
Seems to be all Ok here in Bulgaria now except all the basic settings and key bindings have to be redone in both sims..
 
So is this the reason I cannot start a flight, after I hit start flight and it just hovers in limbo showing me a grass texture? And the map screen is also very laggy like 6 FPS, I am just wondering if this is the cause or I have some other issue going on.

I never saw any error code or server status message.

It's not just MSFS, it's all Xbox titles and games that require Xbox sign-in. Been a number of years since I've seen them have an outage of this scale.

"It's taking longer than anticipated." As someone who writes UX copy for a living, that's amusing. Who's the arbiter of how long you anticipate an unexpected failure to take to resolve? That one's right up there with "Unexpected Error". (There's no "We Saw This One Coming Error.")
 
Just fyi, according to Flysimware on their Discord channel (I quote):

"The current issue is not with the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 servers themselves. It is a Microsoft/Xbox authentication service outage that's affecting Xbox services across multiple games and applications, including MSFS 2024".

However, according to users on the AVsim thread, things seem to be clearing up.
