Milviz F-100D is out

Duckie,

So many ANG SEA versions to be done, SD, Iowa, Michigan, Oklahoma, Ohio (5 groups! they really loved the HUN). Wonderful jobs by all of you doing textures. My only problem is running XP and the
MVAMS not working, so all flights are clean aircraft.....:banghead:

Many thanks for all the work folks....

Yes I am. I've had some RL family stuff going on this week and was unable to work on it....however this one is more complicated because of all the intersecting lines across multiple seperated textures and parts. If not algned perfectly it will be noticed immediately and look terrible.

128th TFS, Georgia ANG. Still a few things to do but the hard stuff is done...

Your attention to detail is does not go unnoticed Duckie. If it turns out as nice as the 'Moose', this will be another winner! Great stuff!

Thanks very much, Brian. I try to be as faithful to photos of the RW aircraft as practicality and skill will allow.

Don't forget the Massachusetts ANG, stationed at Otis in the early 70s

Jim, lots of good green and brown Hun stuff out there. I will add the Mass ANG to my list of possibles. Thank you for the suggestion.

Beautiful work as always, and yes so many SEA out there, makes me glad to have also served in the ANG.

Duckie,
I wish someone could take the "Stock" Colorado ANG paint and weather the tail pipe like you did on the Georgia "Hun." It just looks "Right!"

Back in my VT ANG days in the very early 1970's the MA ANG had two FW's flying F-100's. The 102nd's F-100's were based at Otis and 104th's were based at Barnes. Shortly thereafter the 102nd transitioned into F-106's and eventually F-15A/B/C/D's at Otis and later the 104th transitioned into A-10's at Barnes before eventually picking up the 102nd's mission and F-15C/D's at Barnes. Sadly the 102nd is now an Intelligence Wing based at Otis.

Remember them well (I spent 22 yrs. in Army Guard) (HOORAAH 26ID) Also had a nephew-in-law that flew RC-121's out of Otis for 20 years.

The Skyblazers Cometh...

Skyblazers WIP. Needs major alignment...but much easier than anticipated! Hopefully by next week. Not much time this week...

Awesome! The 1961 scheme of the Skyblazers! Great work. This image shows what is probably too much wear. Those birds were CLEAN like the Thunderbirds! Great texture mapping on the scheme though. :)

Thanks! Do you mean the engine area? i have not done the wings yet. However the Fuselage, and V-stab have 0% dirt or weathering applied. Nothing. So those are as clean as you can make them, without having to repaint the entire base texture from scratch. Also keep in mind this is not a C model. So the engine area may have different panel lines etc. I can create custom engine effects easily now, since creating a template within my PSD files. However I've seen varying engine heat scorching in photos.

Rick, for the record, there's no difference concerning the engine section between the C and D versions....same panel lines...

Cheers
Hank

Hi, no I mean the painted area on the front. One of those pics shows what looks like wear on the front end. The rest looks great. (the whole thing looks great. it may just be a weird angle in the screen shot.) One observation are you using AmarilloUSAF font on the numbers? Those look like Navy numbers...?
