• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Good News Aeroplane Heavens B-17F Out

Great news from their FB page:

FREE B17 FROM AEROPLANE HEAVEN!! We are delighted to announce the forthcoming release of a significant upgrade to our B17F package. Two new models of the B17G (early and late models) have been added to the fleet.
If you already own the B17F package you get the whole new pack for free - just download from your purchase point when the upgrade is available.

If you don't yet own it and if you purchase at the current price before Monday 10th April you too can enjoy the B17G upgrade for free.

I'll have to check this out myself, I have another paint of the 'F' prity much completed, of all things the pilot's son lives way down South in New Zealand , the aircraft was shot down over Holland on it tenth mission in 1943 .. a bit of history here http://b17bombers.freeforums.net/

:untroubled: It was the late model 'F' s build at Douglas, the B-17F-15-DL, that acquired the chin turret, with this modification wonder if they may step back in time for the 'E' variant , that would be an interesting prospect :adoration:

No, the new package will just be called AH_B17 from the release onward. Existing customers will still be able to use their current download info. New purchasers will pay the existing price until Monday 10th April AEST.

DaveB, check your account at Just Flight. I got my B-17 there as well and Version 2.0 is ready for download.

I downloaded it last night. The download showed as V2.0. Two new folders in P3D AH_B-17F-10 and AH_B17G.

The only way you can tell is go to your account and download-it will say V2....

For some reason only the tail gunner is at the job
The waist,ball and top turret I think forgot to get on the flight...
I can not get the gunners to appear and get their 50 cal guns working...

What am I doing wrong?

When your in the cockpit, keep pushing the 'A' key and go through all the different cockpit views until yo get to the last one that shows a piece of paper. Click on the crew man to where they are green on this sheet. This will add the crewman to the plane.

They're pacifists.

You need to run the options screen which is available like RobH says or under the view menu or SHIFT+1 keyboard shortcut. All detailed in the, dare I say it , manual.

I'm assuming that a vendor notification like we do for ah customers will be winging its way to you at some point notifying you of the upgrade. It takes time to make those sort of things.
