• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Now all you need is the steam blast from the water deluge. Without that, the shuttle's engines would have melted the concrete launch pad!

You got it, we're working on it. There are some technical shortcomings that stem way back from 2006 FSX (the same bug is present in all versions of P3D, and MSFS2020, as unbelievable as that may sound), namely, a sorting bug on the 2D particle sprites. This limits us as to what we can do in terms of awesome looking visuals.

MSFS2024 may have improved the particle sprites or eliminated them. BTW, any thoughts on Mercury/Atlas offerings at some point? NASA RV taking the astronauts to the Saturn V pad? I guess the updates could be endless.

Yes, we intend to expand the coverage to Mercury and Gemini, especially considering the fact we developed time shifting code just for that purpose. But as you said, the updates can be endless, given the amount of content (some of great historical significance) that can be featured in that are.

Having seen two Shuttle launches -- one from the countdown clock -- I can attest all that's missing is "feeling" the sound waves!
