This is a copy of the archive uploaded by Rohan on 19/9/2026, with the template changed from a PaintShopPro .psp file to a Photoshop .psd files. The original file can be found here.

This archive contains files for FS9 to allow users to create new repaints of the early 2008 versions of the Miles M.38 Messenger Mk.IA - it is not known whether this will also work with the 2014...

I have used Photoshop since v1.0 (when it was just a grayscale image editor for Macs only) and know how difficult it can be to open PSP files with it (it can't be done directly) so having the choice is important. I know PSP can open native Photoshop files directly (with some limitations) so it's a bit of a one-way street unfortunately.

As I found out yesterday, when I tried to open it in Photoshop!! I tried converting it in Irfanview but it 'lost' the layers, so I had to download & install a copy of PSP, resave the file in .psd format, then deinstall PSP. What larks.

I always had to be careful when creating paint kits for my numerous models and I would inevitably have to make a paint kit for Photoshop users and one for 'the rest'. I make use of layer 'folders' a lot (i.e. a lot of layers inside a folder for that particular paint scheme or common things like rivet layers, panel lines, dirt, etc.) and free image editors like GIMP, Irfanview, MSPaint etc. cannot handle Photoshop layer folders at all so I would have to pull all the layers out of folders so that there was just a big long list of layers with no organization at all.
