Some of you may remember me a few years back as the guy who did the Sky Unlimited P-38 series. I also did a bunch of work in IL2 and im sure you have been seeing my work in other aircraft for many company's. Also, im sure you have been reading about Milviz's P-38!
No, this isent yet ANOTHER P-38, this IS the Milviz P-38. Or MY new FSX P-38 im working on for Milviz. Colin is FINALLY letting me post about it, and I wanted to share with EVERYONE!!!!
So here is the status. The external is almost done. Just tweaking the skin and getting it in-game. Its looking GREAT! As thats going on, im wrapping up the cockpit. Modeling is done, and I got some base color in it. I wanted to show everyone a test render, and get some feedback.
Please note, this is a test render. Im trying to get a feel for the color pallet, and some feedback on color matching. Also its a good test for the dirt mapping. What your seeing is rendered with nice shadows and reflections, but that stuff can and will be baked into the skin, like my other projects *caugh* cats and hogs *caugh*, and will look close to this in FSX. Also, there is no text or gauges yet. That will be painted in after baking.
So please, give me some feedback on the color's and dirt. I am also running all my work through DCC to get his expert feedback. This is a representation of a vintage warbird, so no new radio's or G.1000 guys
Time to pull out your knee board.
Hopefully soon, I will have some pix of the external in-game so you guys can get a good look at her.
