• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

f4 Phantom

OMG John! I've never seen you with hair!:icon_lol:

Jim

Hey, I got hair.

1. It just all went white from scaring myself so often.
2. It fell out from women running their fingers through it so often.
3. It is inside my scalp. Got sucked in by all the G forces I endured.

:icon_lol:

Take your choice.

I vote for number 2 ;-)

Here's another shot of that hairless and crappy Phantom, LOL.

LOL, somewhere around here I have a shot of the Egress Shop all lined up in front of the last F-4 to leave Carswell AFB in 1990 as we were transitioning to the F-16. If I can find it quick enough, I'll post it here.

LOL, Good one Bone!!

That would be a good pic. I used to live by Eagle Mountain Lake, and I can still hear the Thuds, Phantoms, and Vipers of the 301st. I remember when the 301st transitioned from Thuds to Phantoms. I saw a four ship fly over with a Thud in the number one and three position, and a Phantom in the two and four position.

Wow, small world. I got to the 301st in early 86' and stayed until 2007 when I had to retire due to something called High Year Tenure (round about way of saying we think you're too old, lol). It was the best job I ever had, bar none.

The 301st may be in for yet another milestone in a few years as they are rumored to get the F-35 around that time frame. I hope I'm around to see that, because I will definitely be there when the first ones arrive.
