f4 Phantom

The Lady & The Office!

She was as strong as one of Panther's ladies and tough as a female truck driver is the outback of Australia.

Lets hope you right John, and the abilities of A2A are outstanding no doubts there at all!!
And I can see that the Phantom is an Iconic and actually quite handsome jet, my comments only refer to it handling deficencies!

Tell that to the MIG pilots it smoked in Nam.

How about a pic of one of those cool Fighter-Pilot-Poses in front of the beast, holding your helmet and o2 mask.

Bone, this is the only picture of me that I have in the F-4. I use to have one like you mentioned but, I can't find it any longer. It was taken at Hill, AFB. The Wing Commander and I took one to the depot and picked up another.

Very cool jmig. I really enjoyed working on the Phantom (Egress). Needless to say we had plenty of work since every time the battery needed to be changed we were in there pulling the bucket, lol. Also remember the cold days during the winter when the air bottle would bleed off and the canopies wouldn't open.
Great airplane though, I kinda hated to see it go, although we were trading it for the F-16.

Hope this helps bring back a memory or two.

Yep, never been there but many of the airplanes I worked on made a stop at Depot at some point in their life (actually more than once I'm sure). Quite a place.

I've never been there, just flown over it countless times while on approach to Salt Lake International 16L.

... and guy's, please don't forget this Phantom driver...one amongst many of the great figther pilots..
Wow, thanks for posting that Flameout. He was one of those that soared higher than most, for sure. RIP Gen. Olds:USA-flag:
