Natural Beauty: Orbx NA Blue Pacific Northwest Preview

:::LOL:: Boy dont that about figure.. Thanks Bill.. They sure missed some good flying on this one then. Those gorges go down for over a thousand feet, and provide some really nice hang gliding. plus, theres miles of them.. miles and miles.. like some giant took and tried ripping the state in half. But, I'm thankful that at least the mountains got covered.. If Mt Bachelor is in there, then you'll also have all of the lakes up that way and some pretty decent amphib flying. If Sisters is in there you can even get a little something almost like bush flying in. They got a little strip up there that can handle most small planes, but nothing much bigger than a cessna.. I guess they imagined everyone would be flying out of portland ( yuck ) but truthfully, starting with Mt hood on the north, then down past jefferson, washington, broken top, three sisters, three fingered jack and bachelor, you got dome incredible low level flying to enjoy. And the eagles all live here too. All kinds of them. Balds, browns Ospreys, you name it, and not those tiny little runts you see in the zoos, but giants in their full glory with up to twelve foot wing spans. Just seeing one of them fly overhead is enough to make any man cry just because of their sheer raw powerful beauty. we humans, we may borrow the sky, but them?? They own it... I'm gonna look forward to this, even if they did forget my town ::LOL::..

I'll get it, but I really need a system like you have to do that justice. How do you get the camera angles Cody? Do you use the FS Recorder for FSX and playback for movies?
I use a combination of FSRecorder, FRAPS, Vegas/After Effects, EZWalk and DBS Walk and Follow.

It looks professional because Cody "is" a professional. :kilroy:

Caz
WAY too kind mate.

Thank you all for watching and for the nice comments. I'm surprised at how well this video is doing.

BTW, if you haven't seen it, John Venema posted a video as well:

Thanks Cody for the info, I saw John's vid at the Orbx forum, great work, but the smoothness of your production and that cover of Wayfaring Stranger just blend so well.

BTW crew, you can download Cody's video at his Jaggyroads website. It's real big and sound quality of the song is beautiful.

I want to find that cover of wayfaring Stranger and download it from iTunes for the Nano if possible. Who does it?

Caz

Great video. I really like that wayfaring stranger song. Could you please tell me the artist?

Thanks,

cbreeze

Would there be any way to see a list of all the ICAO codes done in this upcoming release?

thx

Here you go, a KMZ file with everything we've packed into PNW at this late beta stage. We'll publish a more complete version of this KMZ later on.

Musssst have my Or bx fix..... ahh.

So how is this looking for Santa's workshop... or is PNW headed for the land of unwanted toys?

I am really tight right now but I'm ready to go sell some Plasma for this! :icon_lol:

Orbx is hands down the best scenery I have seen in FSX. I fly mainly on Vatsim so it is rare that I get an opportunity to see it. The NA releases will change that :ernae:

Can't effing wait.

Aargh. Right after I bought loads of Megascenery to cover the same area!

I as well but I think I am going to get it. I will use the Megascenery with the tubeliners and when I fly low and slow turn off megascenery and enjoy this package.

After viewing the KMZ in Google Earth....

Just thinking ahead here. Could I interest anyone in a piece of real estate between Tongass X and PNW? :icon_lol:

Just think of the possibilities.... :mixedsmi:
