There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.
If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.
Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

I have done one of these but gave up after a while, it has to be done as a loadout, and it dissapears after a short distance,it may be something to do with the LOD's i have tried a lot to fix this but no change, any input guy's?
TI was thinking about this, probably just another hairbrained idea, but it might work. I would guess that without the source files you cannot change the distance at which the LODs make the loadouts disappear in which case you might as well model it directly onto it. On the other hand, it might be possible to create an effect that creates a ring around the aircraft visible at long distances and gets covered by the ring model when the LOD becomes great enough to display the loadouts. The tricky part would be getting the effect to appear completely inside of the loadout model. I think it will work only if the ring had zero fore/aft tilt (I forget which axis that is:redfas I don't think the effect type required can be tilted to anything other than 0 and 90 degrees.
