Gosh, we had a great flight! Boy, did I take mucho many pictures, but sure can't show them all. Here we are at Bora Bora for a little R&R again, now this R&R stuff could get to be habit forming, I think, but also here to do a little bidness. Need to pay for all this good living!
 
Hi again, like I said to many pictures, but here are a few more. Playing follow the leader in these speed boats was a kick in the behind. We took a tour of the island and finally ended up at the hotel we will be staying at for a couple of days. A little underwater stuff, eating and taking part in a little spirits along with our meals. hehe. Ah...laying on the beach checking out the local scenery etc. Now if I could only remember where I parked that darn plane!
 
We left idyllic Bora Bora and flew back to Tahiti to pick up some jets. Looks like we'll be burning some more kerosine.
 
:running:Off and running again, it's a shame to be leaving Bora Bora with it's easy living! But alas, we need to do some bidness or we just might end up in the poor house. Yep, as Willy noted were here to pick up some 50s vintage jet, Now I sure hope Dudley knows where the start button is on this bird!

We put Tahiti behind us and headed on to the Cook Islands (NCRG). I was having "issues" with that P-80, so I switched to a F9F Panther. Been needing to wring this one out anyway. Went through some pretty rough turbulence on the way there and it was raining with low vis when we got there. But still it was a decent flight....
 
The ol' straight wing Panther was having problems keeping up with the fast movers, so I traded it on a slightly used McDonnell product. After I got rid of the keeping up with the rest of the guys problem fixed, it was a pretty nice flight. I think this Voodoo has potential....

Well, here we are again! Boy, sure have seen a lot of water on this here junket with just a little bits of land popping up every now and then. Being used to the wide open spaces of the Western US, sometimes these Island seem a little confining to me. However, we need to keep on truckin in order to contintue of bidness endeavors.

Kind of liked the F-101C, but did a little more "hoss trading" and got a EF-101B "Electric Voodoo" with all the options. This thing has GPS, radio/CD player, high speed internet, fiber optic LAN, 4G phone service, over 200 channels on the scopes including a full HBO package,

Took a case of flat black spray paint and got rid of all the ID off the sides just in case the previous owners come looking for it. Ya never know.

We left NIUE and headed on to Samoa with our first stop at Pago Pago (NTSU) and then a short hop on to the big island (NSFA). A fun flight and once I get the hang of this jet business it'll be a whole lot more fun.

Oh Yeah? Well I don't see any cup holders, so it ain't THAT hot.:kilroy:
 
The cup holders come out of the leather covered armrests of the power leather seats (with heaters). There's also a pocket to hold your french fries and keep them warm.
 
We made it to Fiji and a rather interesting approach coming down through the hills.
 
Tonight's destination was New Caledonia (NWWW). Fun flight with an exciting approach in the high hills in a low viz fog. I landed a little short, but fortunately no trees were harmed.

What weather are you using? Those are great clouds!

So you got the luxury edition of the 101, eh? I don't remember the french fry warmer...
 
:ipepsi2: Hehe, here we are again! We have been flying in the South Pacific for sometime now, Made a few bucks and knocked down a few misc. thing not to be mentioned here. I myself have put a few holes in the runways, or should I say that I have made a few bad, bad landings! I think now we maybe off to the land of OZ. So as our saga contintues on who in the heck would know where we will end up!

Default Real Wx with Pablo Diaz's High Def clouds.

The paint from AlphaSim before I removed the markings was the only EF-101 Electric Voodoo built. They built it and the project got cancelled. But the EF-101 still went to the RCAF who used it and it's jamming equipment for aggressor training until it was retired in 1987.
 
We left Noumea (NWWW) and headed on to Oz, landing at the Amberly Military base. Fun flight and I finally got the radar working.

Now that we're not island hopping, we've decided to slow the pace a bit and do a flying walkabout. So, we're going to take a couple of nights off to get new aircraft ready for the trip (and for me to come up with a semi-coherent flight plan).
 
Hi Willy,

Who is the author of the F-102A? I have seen (and heard!) dozens of those and some TF-102As during the 1960s when they were based with 32 Tactical Fighter Squadron at Camp New Amsterdam, Soesterberg AFB, Netherlands.
