The Staff of SOH
Stefano,
Sorry, I missed downloading this! I will test it this evening, get in contact with Achim, and report back.
Hi Stef,
I just had a fly around northern Italy to inspect your work. You've done a fantastic job! You've really enhanced Achim's lovely airfields. The River Po bridges look great.
I think you should also publish what you've done so far to the British airfields.
Well done,
Kevin
Stefano,
I finally got a chance to test these three airfields. I concur with what Kevin said, these bases along with the Po River bridges are fantastic!![]()
Kelticheart you're forcing my hand before all is done but you may want to add these as well when you are ready![]()
I'm adding to the airfields in Italy as I work through the development of the 82nd Fighter Group Campaign. It always seems that no matter how many airfields are made by others I somehow pick a group that never used or attacked any of them. So I'm left to make the fields. So far I have these new fields (as well as 1 English, 2 Algerian and 2 Tunisian fields) and expect to need to make more as I go on:

dvslats:
Rami nicely answered to you already, but, as a rule of thumb, whatever objects might sound unfamiliar to you, go look for it in Canion's ETO two libraries. I make a heavy use of those nice objects and that's Canion's windsock you were looking for.
Make sure you have the textures for MR's objects I attached above, bamboo-covered guard posts will look weird in the ETO/MTO!
Cheers!

sounds like great work, i have worked on the same routes in the train sim you are discussing. what fun. glad you didnt mind my posting those pictures...i love the Italian routes and the amazing work that went into building them and what targets they must have been
here is a typical view of a 1940s Italian RR line with typical pre 1935 change to the brown livery...

this was how they got the trains over some of the high passes, with helper engines pushing from the rear..

and one more pictures of the amazing viaducts...imagine working to build them and one air strike could take them down in seconds...

Hey, sounds good Capt. Kurt!
The blurred prop set for the MZ/Daedalus FW190A/F series is ready. I wished I could have done better, but it's the best I can do with Akemi's prop texture file style. The textures fit also Akemi's Dora-9.
I still have to write the readme and I am planning to upload the pack tomorrow, did you already do gsl work on your Italian sceneries? If you would like me to do some help with them, all I need is your scenery files and some pictures of the way they looked in WWII, if any are available.
I use Google's sat pictures also, but today's airport layouts make it more of a guesswork, especially if those bases were temporary strips demolished after the end of WWII like 95% of the Foggia Airfield Complex. I cannot promise a quick release time with all the spring work (mowing, pruning an so on) my house dictates on me every year, plus my day job, but I shall work on them, honest!
Cheers!

Here are the AAF airfield location/layout/aerial photo maps for Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Sicily, Sardinia, Southern Italy and Corsica.
If anyone wants the full size versions I'm happy to email them.
KD
I'd love to have them. I sent you a PM
Thanks
